"No! Thick eyebrows are too disgusting!"

Sakura hid fearfully behind Sasuke.

Sasuke frowned. After hesitating for a few seconds, he refrained from chasing Sakura away for the sake of their team.

"Let's go up. Don't waste any more time here."

Sasuke said this to Naruto, who nodded. The two headed upstairs, with Sakura following behind them.

A candidate asked in confusion, "Why are they going upstairs? Isn't the examination room in 301—"

Many candidates shared the same confusion. Some suddenly understood, but tacitly kept silent and headed upstairs without a word.

"Please wait, Naruto."

Having quickly recovered from the depression of his failed confession, Rock Lee ran over and stopped Naruto.

"We still have an unfinished battle between us—"

Rock Lee assumed a fighting stance.

"I never accepted your challenge."

For the current Naruto, only fighting Kage-level opponents—or, at the very least, elite Jonin—could offer even the slightest benefit and improve his negligible combat experience.

Anyone below elite Jonin was a waste of time.

"Naruto, I can sense your arrogance."

Rock Lee said seriously, "You are a genius, and you have the right to be arrogant. But have you heard that there are two types of strong people: the talented type and the hard-working type—"

Naruto interrupted, "You mean you belong to the hard-working type?"

"Whether I do or not, we'll know after we fight—"

As he spoke, Rock Lee vanished from where he stood. The next second, he appeared before Naruto and lashed out with a fierce kick.

"Does this count as a sneak attack?"

Naruto moved after him but arrived first. His hand accurately caught Rock Lee by the ankle as his other fist slammed out. A sharp pain exploded in Rock Lee's stomach, and his body curled up as he flew backward.

Whoosh!

A figure flashed
