The Bat Queen sensed his murderous intent and instinctively turned to look.
"A Half-Demon... with impressive blood and qi. Could he be the Half-Demon who killed the Black Scale King and forced Kuang Chu'e to retreat?"
The Bat Queen narrowed her eyes and murmured to herself. Then her gaze abruptly locked onto Nan Xiaopao, turning sharp in an instant.
At the same time, Su Yi gave an order in his heart: "Use the Divine Shadow Legion!"

Crying, cursing, and shrieking filled Xiwan City, making the darkened world all the more terrifying.
The moment the Demon Army charged down, Xiwan City fell apart—and the people lost all hope.
In the distance, Tan Quanming was boarding a helicopter with Zhang Yicheng escorting him.
They were preparing to flee, too.
"Alas, I still couldn't protect Xiwan City."
Tan Quanming let out a forlorn sigh as the helicopter took off.
Just then, the Bat Queen fixed her gaze on Nan Xiaopao and sneered. "The Qiling Holy Body? Make me your master, and I'll help you grow stronger!"
Nan Xiaopao heard her, but kept her eyes shut and didn't reply.
Su Yi snorted. "A little demon like you dares to take my woman?"
A little demon!
The Bat Queen's eyes narrowed. She swept her right hand, and her demonic power transformed into countless bats, which shrieked as they flew toward Su Yi and Nan Xiaopao.
Su Yi's lips curled into a scornful, disdainful smile.
Then the shadow of Xia Tianyi behind him suddenly moved.
He leaped forward without wind or sound, moving as swiftly as lightning. The Bat Queen's pupils contracted.
She flipped her hand, producing a black scythe, and slashed down furiously.
Before Xia Tianyi's shadow could reach her, he suddenly swung his sword. Sword Qi turned the whole world as bright as day.
"How could this be..."
The Bat Queen's eyes widened. Before she could react, the Sword Qi pierced her body and cleaved her in two!
Then the Sword Qi surged skyward, cleaving the rolling thunderclouds apart and carving out a hundred-meter-long gash. Sunlight poured through, like the first ray of sunshine after a storm.
Demon Wolf Star, racing through the city, happened to see the scene. His mouth fell open, his face full of disbelief.
Even Wu Qingyao, Mo Haosheng, and the other Luoshui Sect disciples were startled.
One sword had slain the Bat Queen?
Who was that?
Elsewhere, atop the skyscraper.
Su Yi clenched his fists. Xia Tianyi hadn't lied to him!
When he said it would take at most two swords, he hadn't been bragging!
Then Su Yi ordered the other shadows to slaughter every monster in Xiwan City. With a mere thought, the Divine Shadow Legion vanished from behind him.
At the same time, high in the sky, Xia Tianyi's shadow struck again. Thousands upon thousands of intertwining Sword Qi swept forth, reducing the Bat Queen's body and Nascent Soul to fragments. Only a Demon Core fell from the sky.
The Demon Core had survived only because Su Yi had specifically ordered them to spare it. Otherwise, it would have been reduced to ash as well.
Su Yi immediately leaped up and caught it.
Wu Qingyao, Mo Haosheng, and the others saw this and gasped.
Could that mysterious shadow have been sent by Su Yi?
"Could Emperor Su be secretly supporting us?"
Wu Qingyao thought, furrowing her brows. That had been the Bat Queen, and she'd been killed in an instant?
