The two of them went to the Chess Club.

As for why there were only two of them, it was because Sakayanagi Arisu didn't want some fool who could only say "The knight's gone" interrupting her thoughts.

Sakayanagi Arisu had plenty of clout in the Chess Club. Both the members and the club president treated her with the utmost respect.

That made her feel quite satisfied. She glanced at Uesugi Hara, who was looking around beside her, as if to say, See that?
