After entering the room, Sakayanagi Arisu sat down on Uesugi Hara's bed without so much as a by-your-leave, as if she were in her own home.
Kamuro Masumi hesitated for a few seconds before sitting down too. She kept her back ramrod straight, hands resting on her knees, looking so prim and proper that she seemed especially ill at ease.
Uesugi Hara turned around, a perfectly measured smile on his face, and looked at Sakayanagi Arisu. "I wonder what Classmate Sakayanagi needs from me, that she's gone to the trouble of visiting today?"
Sakayanagi Arisu's mood lifted even more at that. She looked at him with unmistakable approval, as if to say, You know your place. "I mainly came to see how well Uesugi was recovering. But you look so energetic now that my concern seems to have been unnecessary."
The smile on Uesugi Hara's face nearly slipped. Concern? What the hell are you concerned about? Who was laughing so happily while watching me get pinned to the floor and force-fed medicine?
