Chapter: Daniel

As a Deity-level powerhouse, Lincoln could easily discern his son's elemental affinity, but he could not directly perceive his talent for the Laws.

Among the masses, a small number of souls possess unique shapes. For instance, Linley possessed a sword-shaped soul, granting him the talent to cultivate the Laws of Destruction. Yet, despite Linley being favored by destiny, he failed to comprehend them at all, ultimately succeeding by undergoing a soul mutation of the four elements—earth, water, fire, and wind—to transcend.

However, Daniel's soul was shaped simply like a human body with a snake's tail. While this was closely linked to his parents' race, it offered no indication of what kind of talent he possessed for the Laws.

"Compared to his cultivation talent, what pains me now is that he has no playmates. Lincoln, why don't we choose a city to settle down in? Although Rainbow Lake is very serene, I don't want Daniel to grow up lonely."

Lincoln agreed, pondering for a moment, "He is still too young and very fragile. When he turns six, it will be time for school; we can send him to the Warrior Academy then, and he will have plenty of little friends. As for now... I remember there are some Saint-level Magic Beasts living nearby. In a couple of days, I will go and subdue them to sign a master-servant contract with Daniel. That way, he will have both playmates and guards."

Three days later, deep within the Muyun Forest, a swamp that bubbled incessantly emitted waves of toxic stench. The swamp was filled with the mangled remains of numerous Magic Beasts, clearly having long since become the prey of the swamp's master.

Suddenly, a five-colored blade of light slashed rapidly toward the swamp, kicking up a massive amount of mud. The swamp churned violently, and something terrifying was about to emerge.

In the sky, a peacock with long, trailing tail feathers stared sharply at the swamp, "Nine-Headed Monster, come out and meet your death!"

"BOOM—!" The swamp erupted violently, and countless foul-smelling mud rained down. A long black snake slithered rapidly through the air, its eyes filled with cruelty, "You annoying bird, you've come to cause trouble again? I will definitely eat you today!"

The peacock displayed a look of disgust and hatred. Its red beak parted slightly, and a five-colored blade of light shot out once more.

The Nine-Headed Snake Emperor dodged by coiling its body, continuously closing the distance to the Saint-level peacock. Its nine blood-red maws snapped forward one after another, accompanied by the constricting force of its massive serpentine body.

Yet, the peacock was far more agile, dodging and weaving with incredible speed.

The Nine-Headed Snake Emperor looked at the peacock with fury, "Every time you rely on your speed to dodge and then flee in defeat. Do you think you have a chance this time?"

As it spoke, the nine heads positioned themselves, opened their maws, and sprayed venom in high-frequency bursts. In an instant, the venom fell like a torrential rain, leaving no room for evasion.

This venom was highly corrosive; as it splashed onto the distant trees, it instantly corroded them away.

Seeing this, the peacock flapped its wings with all its might, whipping up a gale that held the venom at bay.

It turned out to be a dual-element Magic Beast of the Wind and Light elements.

"This peacock indeed cannot escape, but you certainly won't survive!" A cold voice suddenly rang out.

The Nine-Headed Snake couldn't help but be distracted. However, having nine heads, it only needed one to observe the situation. Meanwhile, the peacock immediately accelerated to break away from the battlefield, looking down at the ground from a higher altitude.

A tall, sturdy figure emerged from beneath a tree that had been completely corroded. A large amount of water elemental energy quietly isolated the venom, leaving him without a speck of dust.

Lincoln looked at the Nine-Headed Snake as if looking at a dead man. This idiot not only sprayed venom toward him, but it was also so ugly and filthy—it was simply a stain on the snake species.

To ordinary snake-type Magic Beasts, the Nine-Headed Snake Emperor was a powerful "idol," but in Lincoln's eyes, it was merely an eyesore.

"What human dares to disturb me, Lord Snooker!" The Nine-Headed Snake's voice sounded like thunder. Since becoming a Saint, it hadn't encountered many human Saints, and the strongest among them were only on par with it.

Lincoln narrowed his eyes, and his Divine Domain manifested, instantly freezing both Saint-level beasts in place.

"A Deity-level powerhouse!" Sensing the Divine Domain, the scales on the Nine-Headed Snake stood on end. Just as it was about to beg for mercy, it saw a streak of water-type divine power strike, and all nine heads exploded simultaneously.

The peacock was also terrified and wanted to flee, but unfortunately, it couldn't even perform the simple act of flapping its wings.

"Whatever orders you have, Azure Sparrow will give its all!" In its desperation, the peacock seized the moment while Lincoln was killing the Nine-Headed Snake to quickly submit.

Watching the Nine-Headed Snake's body hang limply over the swamp, Lincoln smiled, "Azure Sparrow, a nice name. If I'm not mistaken, you must be a Saint-level Five-Colored Peacock."

"Yes, my Lord!"

Looking at this gorgeous-looking beast, if this were the Primordial World, it might have been a regional hegemon, but in this Coiling Dragon world, it was difficult even to become a god.

"I am looking for a Magic Beast for my son. You are lucky; you look decent and your strength is passable. Are you willing?" Lincoln floated before the Azure Sparrow, "Or would you prefer to go down and join that vermin below?"

"Azure Sparrow is willing!" After following Lincoln's gaze to the Nine-Headed Snake's motionless body, the Azure Sparrow answered with great determination.

"Hmm, one isn't enough. Accompany me to catch another. Don't even think about running away, or you know the consequences."

Stepping onto the peacock's soft back, Lincoln pointed in a direction. Long before arriving, Lincoln had scanned the entire plane, and the target had already been selected.

"As my son's future Magic Beast, you can receive some rewards. Golden beads to strengthen the soul, Amethyst, battle projections of powerhouses to assist in cultivation, books explaining the Mysteries, or even a God Spark—anything is possible." Lincoln roughly listed some items useful to Saints, and unsurprisingly, he received the expected answer.

"I hope to obtain a God Spark, my Lord!" the Azure Sparrow requested excitedly.

Initially feeling humiliated, the Azure Sparrow was now thrilled. Being captured by a powerhouse who could afford a God Spark was nothing; besides, it could refine the God Spark to become a god!

Lincoln scoffed, "Born in a Material Plane, you truly lack perspective. Let me tell you in advance: once you refine a God Spark, you will have no room for further progress. If you want to continue growing stronger, you can only refine more God Sparks to become a Mid-God or High-God. But even as a High-God, an ordinary one is just a slightly stronger ant in the Divine Plane."

"Furthermore, you have dual-element talent. I can help you cultivate, and sooner or later you will reach the level of a High-God. You will also be able to possess an extra Divine Clone while retaining your Saint Original Body!" As he spoke, Lincoln explained the difference between becoming a god internally versus externally.

The barrage of information left the Azure Sparrow unable to react. Besides the fact that the soul wouldn't weaken from being split during the initial process, what other advantages did internal godhood have that made it worth choosing!

After a long while, seeing that they were approaching their destination, it finally made up its mind, "My Lord, I hope to obtain a treasure that strengthens the soul!"

Battle projections and books on the Laws meant nothing; a strong soul was the foundation for comprehending the Laws!
