Chapter Roman
"That won't be necessary. My quota for Sovereign Envoys is already full; I just found one in the Wind Divine Plane not long ago," Lincoln said, looking at Hela with slight surprise. "Aren't you going to stop me, my lady? After all, the Darkness Divine Plane is already on an eight-win streak!"
Hela laughed dismissively. "A mere one or two Asuras cannot sway the outcome of a Plane War. Besides, the Darkness Divine Plane belongs to the Underworld faction, so it wouldn't be appropriate for me to intervene now. Once you truly reach a nine-win streak, all the Sovereigns will work together to stop you. Do you have the confidence to lead the Darkness Divine Plane to a nine-win streak?"
Lincoln smiled. "It doesn't matter to me. I'll just do my best and leave the rest to fate."
"Besides, everyone wants the reward for a ten-win streak. Do you think the Darkness Divine Plane is the only one in the lead? Ever since the Water Divine Plane lost to you eight times ago, they have been winning consistently as well. They are currently on a seven-win streak; three more victories and they will meet the criteria." As the two strolled along, Hela spoke about matters concerning the Plane War.
"Unless one side catches the other off guard, I don't believe anyone can truly achieve a ten-win streak right now."
"Coincidentally, I think the same," Lincoln agreed with a nod.
In the Life Divine Realm, a man with short green hair that flowed as if underwater arrived before Vivian, guided by Vibar.
"Roman, being this late isn't like you," Vivian laughed. "Lincoln asked you to help him research bloodline awakening; you should hurry over there tomorrow."
"He is truly lucky," Roman sighed. "I discovered traces of that Life Sovereign Spark some years ago, but unfortunately, after searching for many years, I still couldn't find it, which is why I was delayed. Do you have any leads, Lady Vivian?"
"So that's how it is," Vivian sighed as well. "Ever since Daomei fell, I have been searching for this Lesser Life Sovereign Spark for you, but unfortunately, I have had no success to this day. Currently, not all Sovereigns of the Life element have returned to their positions, so you still have hope."
Vivian looked at Roman's somewhat dejected expression and understood well. Anyone who had worked hard for countless years only to see a newcomer—who was inferior to them—suddenly obtain what they had sought their entire life would find it difficult to balance their emotions. Moreover, even if Roman obtained a Sovereign Spark in the future, it would only be a Lesser Sovereign Spark, which still had a hundredfold gap in strength compared to a Mid-level Sovereign Spark.
"How much confidence do you have in helping Lincoln research bloodline awakening?" Vivian asked.
"There shouldn't be any problem," Roman replied directly. "I was able to decipher the Ancestral Hall Baptism of the Four Divine Beasts Clan, so I can certainly do the same for his."
In the Heavenly Realm, on the Flowing Cloud Continent, in Three Lights City.
Daniel and his wife, Luna, had just finished a Fate-Knower mission and returned to the city to relax and enjoy life.
Fate-Knower was the title in the Heavenly Realm corresponding to "Fiend" in Hell. After one hundred thousand years of cultivation, Daniel had long since become a High-God and reached the level of a Five-Star Fate-Knower. Luna, unexpectedly, had become a god in both the Light Element and the Death Rules. Currently, her Death Rules were at the High-God level, while for the Light Element laws, she was following Aier's advice, striving to fuse Mysteries while still a Mid-God, not rushing to break through to the High-God level.
Luna picked up a piece of Evil Fire Phoenix Liver and placed it in Daniel's bowl, saying, "That was too dangerous this time. If Brother Teluzake hadn't arrived in time, we would never have been able to escape Nagadi's pursuit before our Sovereign Power ran out."
"Indeed, I didn't expect Nagada to also possess Sovereign Power. Combined with his strength being superior to ours, we couldn't block him at all. Our Sovereign Power is completely exhausted; we must be more cautious when taking on missions in the future," Daniel said, frowning. "I wonder what kind of identity Brother Teluzake truly has. His Sovereign Power seems inexhaustible. Could he be the child of a Sovereign?"
"Perhaps," Luna speculated, following Daniel's line of thought. "I've heard that even Sovereign Envoys cannot consume Sovereign Power like that. Actually, we aren't doing too badly ourselves. It would be great if we could find Father and Mother, but ever since Harry grew up, they left the Red Cloud Fragrance Material Plane and have been missing ever since. It's a pity our strength is still too low. If we were stronger and accumulated more wealth, we could return home sooner. As good as the Heavenly Realm is, I'm getting a bit tired of it. The endless slaughter is truly exhausting."
Daniel became somewhat excited. "I also didn't expect that Father is actually a legendary, suspected Paragon High-God. A Paragon High-God is an invincible existence among gods; it's no wonder he could give us Sovereign Power to save our lives."
At the same time, the teleportation array on the Knight Continent lit up, and an old man with multicolored hair stepped out. His face was heavy and his expression cold. After glancing around, he soared into the air and flew toward the Flowing Cloud Continent.
Meanwhile, in the Chainis Plane, Lincoln finally welcomed Roman, the Paragon High-God of the Rules of Life. Looking at the composed and proud Paragon standing below him, a weight was finally lifted from his heart.
"Mr. Roman, you have finally arrived. I have been waiting anxiously," Lincoln laughed. It had taken Daniel tens of thousands of years to reach the High-God level; if his current children's fate-attribute talent could reach the level of a Six-Star or Seven-Star Fiend, that would be ideal. As for becoming an Asura, Lincoln didn't expect it at all.
"My apologies, Sovereign. I was tied up with a matter I couldn't escape from, and only recently learned you were looking for me," Roman said calmly. "I heard the specific requirements from Lady Vivian. You want to research bloodline awakening to awaken the innate talents of your children, correct?"
"That is correct," Lincoln said, becoming even more enthusiastic. "Actually, through researching Milotic, I have already achieved some results and successfully allowed the descendants of single-element divine beasts to awaken their bloodline talents. However, as you know, Roman, I am a multi-element divine beast with numerous talents and a complex situation, so I haven't made any further progress."
"Your situation is indeed complex, Sovereign. If you want your children to awaken multi-element talents like you, that is impossible. We can only adjust the bloodline crystal based on their individual circumstances to awaken a specific talent for them," Roman said, pausing. "Bloodline awakening actually implies that they already possess the talent, which is why it needs to be awakened, rather than adding a talent out of thin air. Therefore, whether the awakening succeeds depends on the individual; it is not the same for everyone."
"Milotic is indeed a rare divine beast capable of autonomous bloodline awakening, but there are others in the world with similar or identical situations, such as the Blue Lightning Gyarados. I have also studied Milotic and understand the situation. Because this involves your bloodline, Sovereign, I will need your cooperation in the research. If all goes well, we should have results within ten thousand years," Roman continued in a flat tone.
Lincoln naturally showed joy and laughed, "That goes without saying. Here are one thousand drops of Life Sovereign Power. Once the matter is accomplished, there will certainly be a generous reward!"
With that, he led Roman into the Laboratory Divine Plane.
