However, Power of Faith also had its limitations.
The Sovereigns who had relied on Power of Faith throughout their cultivation had all ended up stuck outside the threshold of perfection.
Among the Sovereigns, Ao Fu, the Fate Chief Sovereign, had already reached perfection before becoming a Sovereign.
There was some uncertainty regarding Vivia, the Sovereign of Life, and Utrede, the Chief Sovereign of Destruction. There was an even chance that they had reached perfection before becoming Sovereigns.
That was because both of them had been beaten up by the Chief Sovereign of Death. Vivia, the Sovereign of Life, even called the Chief Sovereign of Death "big sister," and she had kept using that title even after becoming a Sovereign.
Theresia, the Wind Element Lesser Sovereign, had probably also become a Sovereign after reaching perfection, judging by the arrogance he'd shown when he first appeared.
Apart from these few, the other Sovereigns had fought so fiercely during the War of Faith that they'd practically beaten each other's brains out. Two Chief Sovereigns had even fallen, all for the sake of seizing the Power of Faith in the Material Planes.
