Dark said with a smile, "We can always find the books we want in the library, but it takes a little patience and luck. Once you've gone through the house assignment ceremony tomorrow, you'll be able to enter the library freely without me leading the way. Also, this is the library's reading room. When I was still a first-year, I always did my homework here."
Evan Pearson asked, "Why? Do second-years no longer need to study in the library?"
Dark shook his head. "By second year, most students have other places to go."
"What places?" Evan Pearson asked.
Dark said, "At our academy, students can join clubs starting in their second year. After class, they generally go to their clubs for activities or study."
Evan Pearson pondered, "Does your academy have a lot of club activities?"
Dark said, "You could say we have clubs of every kind. What, doesn't your academy have clubs?"
Evan Pearson shook his head. "That's not it. But the clubs at our academy are all established by professors, so they're semi-official organizations. Even after going to a club after class, we still have to continue learning the relevant knowledge and techniques there."
After a brief moment of thought, Dark understood. "I see. Rather than clubs, they sound more like extracurricular classes. The clubs at our academy aren't bound by that sort of restriction. If you'd like, I can try applying to Professor Sylph to let you temporarily join a club."
Evan Pearson nodded. "I'll consider it."
Dark turned to Audrey Jeanne d'Arc and said, "Although first-years can't join clubs, if you'd like to, Jeanne d'Arc, I can apply on your behalf as well."
