Emma shot Dark a glare. "It was only a minor argument."
To her surprise, Audrey suddenly looked up. "It was not minor at all! The name 'Jeanne d'Arc' must not be insulted!"
Dark said, "A hundred readers have a hundred versions of Hararet in their hearts. There is no need for such overly heated arguments."
Audrey said, "But..."
Emma said, "You may not know this. The person standing before you is the heir to Peter Sherwich's club. Since you have doubts about the records of Peter Shervit, why not let him tell you the truth?"
Naturally, she omitted the word "club."
Audrey's eyes widened sharply.
Dark immediately realized that Emma was trying to redirect the fire onto him so she could extricate herself.
But of course he could not simply go along with her. "I merely restarted Peter Sherwich's Magical Creature Club. If you want to know more about Peter Sherwich, you can pick a time to visit our club."
Clarity returned to Audrey's eyes.
Dark nodded slightly and said, "Besides, the library is not a suitable place for arguing. If you wish to express your differing views, you could hold a Tea Party or a book club. The Forest Coffee Shop on Traveler Street would be a good place."
"Lady Saint," Jesse Louisa approached and said, "if you wish, I can organize a book club for you. When the time comes, you will surely be able to exchange your thoughts on reading with more people."
Audrey had clearly calmed down. "A book club? But even if I wished to hold one, I have no one to invite."
Dark laughed inwardly and immediately said, "That is precisely why you need a book club—to meet more friends. I am sure Emma would be happy to help. She has many friends who
