Dark nodded slightly. "The sound of the 'Wind-Bearing Conch' actually has nothing to do with wind. It relies on resonance between minds. But these things are extremely rare. You actually managed to get a pair."
Fred North said, "This was actually war booty my grandfather seized from the Demon Race."
"Then blow the conch and call Quintina," Dark said. "Let's hope she's all right."
"But blowing the conch here could very likely attract other creatures," Fred North said.
Dark frowned. "Is it loud?"
"The farther you want it to carry, the louder you need to blow."
Dark pondered briefly. "Then let's wait a little longer."
They had used up a great many Magitech Cards in their battle against the "Monster Angel" and needed at least an hour to rest and recover.
Half an hour had already passed. Another half hour should let them recover somewhat.
"Look on the bright side. Maybe they'll find us first," Albert Grantham said slowly, noticing Fred's nervousness.
