Ultimate Move—Dragon Darts!
The two Dreepy transformed into arrows of light in that instant and shot out, piercing the statue's "heart" from an extremely tricky angle!
It was unclear whether there was another layer of protection around its "heart," or whether its divine power had been further depleted by the earlier explosion.
In any case, Dragapult's two Dragon Darts had actually pierced through that metal shell and reached the energy heart hidden within.
But the anticipated scenes of a "heart explosion" never occurred. The statue merely stood there in a daze for roughly half a minute. Those thirty seconds seemed to freeze in time.
Dark repeatedly considered whether Dragon Darts had taken effect.
But even with Endure, the Dreepy that had been fired into the heart failed to return.
It had most likely been dissolved by the energy within the heart.
It was simply unclear whether the energy in its heart had decreased or increased.
That was indeed an impossible question to measure.
However, since the Dreepy had not returned, Dragapult could not fire Dragon Darts a second time.
There was little point in dwelling on it.
They could only judge from the statue's behavior that Dragon Darts had likely worked and inflicted some degree of negative effect upon it.
Dark patted Devimon behind him. The instant the statue began moving again, he used Instant Transmission to move to the lower floor.
For this Instant Transmission, Dark had estimated the rate at which the pollutants were surging upward. But when he appeared so close to the pollutants, he was still startled.
Instant Transmission was useful, but if it transferred him into some dangerous place, there would be no saving him.
He hurriedly clutched Shaymin and ran upward. Listening closely, he found that the statue had indeed chased after him again.
