Once Victor had the "microphone," he began talking nonstop. Just like at Saint Marian Academy, Holy Rite Academy had held a welcome party for their arrival.
That night, Holy Rite Academy's students had seemed as though they had received special orders from the professors. Every one of them behaved with impeccable courtesy, making them cry out inwardly, "So this is the Holy Church!"
But once the night was over, the politeness from the party had suddenly turned into indifference and disregard.
The three of them had been assigned separately to three different houses, just like Saint Sons and Saintesses. Betty Morey had entered Saintess House, Justin Wayne had entered holy Knight House, and Victor Gaude had naturally entered Saint Son House.
Unlike the warmth and friendliness at Saint Marian Academy, they encountered the cold shoulder of the entire student body on their very first day of classes.
Still, it was only cold violence. They had not suffered any excessive bullying beyond that.
That at least showed that Holy Rite Academy's students possessed some degree of refinement. If they disliked someone, they simply ignored them—that was roughly how it felt. After Victor's initial attempts to befriend others failed, he was happy to enjoy the peace and quiet, immediately beginning to inquire about the Sword in the Stone trial, the Holy Soul Spring, their locations, and the requirements for entering them.
But the coursework at Saint Son House was even more demanding than he had expected.
Only after experiencing the comparison did he realize just how fortunate Saint Marian Academy's students were.
In short, within just a few days, he had been crushed beneath the heavy etiquette and
