After Dark finally finished speaking, he saw her standing there like a stunned goose. Unable to resist, he reached out and patted her soft, squishy cheek, thinking, Such a nice feel.
Eudora suddenly snapped awake. Her skin instantly flushed crimson, heat rushing to the top of her head. She looked like a cooked little lobster, wishing she could dive headfirst back into the pot and let Dark feast to his heart's content.
It took Eudora quite a while to calm down, but she still kept sneaking glances at Dark's face.
Dark said, "That's the gist of it. Resurrection of Gods and Ragnarok form a circle. Your prophecy is bound to come true—it's only a matter of time."
"And what about you?" Eudora could not help asking.
Dark looked at her and said, "Don't we have another prophecy?" Eudora's heart stirred as she recalled the disaster they had foreseen together.
That was her "Apocalypse," and also Dark's "Apocalypse." Three stars had appeared from three directions, eventually falling upon the same spot. The explosion they unleashed had leveled the entire land.
The creatures writhing in the darkness had all been reduced to powder in that terrifying black light.
For a time, Dark had believed those three Death Omen Stars represented Demon Kings. But counting carefully, he had encountered only two Demon Kings so far—the two "Demon King" cards in his Card Case were proof enough.
There was no third Demon King—yet that contradicted the key word "three" that had appeared in the "Apocalypse."
Though prophecies might change because of their actions, the fact remained that it had not been fully fulfilled.
If Eudora chose to reveal the Ragnarok prophecy she had interpreted from her first "Apocalypse" during tomorrow night's "Night of Prophecy,"
then Dark could reveal the disaster prophecy she had interpreted
