At her feet, "Wing" gently flapped its wings, releasing rainbow light from within. Rather than forming beams, it spread out in parallel, staining the entire water's surface with dreamy, glasslike rainbow hues.
The magic bubbles were dyed with color as well, adding a touch of ethereal beauty to the entire arena in that instant.
"Not good!"
Looking down from above, Eva was instantly dazzled and lost focus for a moment. But while diving at high speed, even a momentary lapse was deadly. By the time she refocused, Julia and "Wing" had vanished from her sight.
Then, with a bang, she slammed into the water's surface. It felt no different from crashing headlong into an iron plate.
Without the head-impact reduction inherent to "War Eagle Dive," she might have been knocked unconscious on the spot.
Even though the layers of magic bubbles had softened the impact, the water surface she struck still exploded violently. Water splashed everywhere throughout the flood-filled arena, surging up into the sky.
Eva barely managed to stand on the ground, rubbing her brow in discomfort. She saw that some of the floodwater in the arena had vanished, while the rest had been blasted into the sky and was about to rain back down.
And within that falling water, jellyfish glimmered with crystal light.
She frowned, and a phantom-like Magic Spirit emerged from her body. It took the form of a young girl, an Elemental Species of the Flying Type and Psychic Type. Raising one hand, it supported the falling water with winds blowing upward from below—but the jellyfish still dropped down.
Eva raised her right hand. From the black wing extending behind her, feathers materialized one after another, gathering in her palm to form black Feather Arrows.
