Nathaniel David stared fixedly at Dark Demon, beginning to consider the matter with utmost caution.
Dark Demon had initiated the previous duel, and Dark Demon himself had not entered the duel protection period. In other words, Nathaniel could challenge him to a duel without issue.
What he needed to consider was whether he currently possessed the ability to defeat Dark Demon; whether he could recover to peak condition in the minimum six and a half minutes before the battle began; and how much Dark Demon had expended in the previous duel.
Taking all that into account, if he had a chance of winning, defeating him on the spot would be an excellent choice.
But while he was considering this, Dark Demon's attention was no longer on Nathaniel.
It was not that he had lost interest in Nathaniel. After all, the Golden Mammoth Clan's full strength had indeed failed to emerge. But neither could he deliberately hold back just so Nathaniel could fight at full power.
That duel had been fraught with danger even before Nathaniel summoned the Endtime Battlefield. One careless mistake, and he would already have lost. Through that duel, he had also confirmed that his personal combat ability was—barely passable.
But going from completely incapable to barely usable was already an enormous breakthrough. He had never been one to aim too high; a breakthrough was a good thing. As for his expenditure...
He had barely expended anything. Even if he immediately entered another duel, he had nothing to fear.
Still, he had just gone through intense exercise. If he could take a breather before considering the next duel, that would naturally be better.
Thus, instead of continuing to watch Nathaniel David, he looked toward the duel projection within the Red and Blue Restaurant!
