February 6th, Saturday, noon. The weather was clear, the temperature pleasant—perfect for traveling.
After spending the entire morning making thorough preparations, Dark arrived at the Dragon Taming Platform with Professor Kazel.
He then summoned the "Soul of the Moon God" and ordered it to summon the "Moon God's Chariot." After that, he summoned the "Fairy Tale Animal: Little rabbit" and prepared to depart. Their destination was the Temple of the "Goddess of Life," discovered by Duke's Mansion. It lay to the northeast, and at the Moon God's Chariot's speed, the journey would take roughly twenty hours.
In other words, if they set off now, they would likely arrive by dusk tomorrow.
By then, people from Duke's Mansion would naturally be waiting there to receive them.
In short, all the arrangements prior to the exploration had been made, and Dark had just received some information about the Temple from the maids.
Naturally, the newest and most detailed information would only become available once they reached their destination. Though the investigators dispatched by Duke's Mansion had yet to venture deep into the Temple, their cautious exploration over this period had already yielded quite a bit of information.
This would undoubtedly make things much easier for them, ensuring they would not have to run around like headless flies after arriving.
"I hope everything goes smoothly."
Dark carried his suitcase onto the carriage, opened the door, and entered the cabin.
Then he encountered the first unexpected incident of the journey. Professor Lily sat obediently on the bench, with a small, exquisite backpack beside her.
"Click."
Dark silently backed out of the cabin and shut the door.
Professor Kazel, who was right behind him, could not help asking, "What is it?" Dark said, "This carriage isn't very clean. We should switch to another one."
