The Haunted House was pitch-black; you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.
Dark was just about to cast a "Lighting Spell" when a scream suddenly rang out beside him, followed immediately by someone throwing their arms around him.
Though she was soft, his mind remained free of distraction.
Dark had no choice but to drag Sophia back out of the Haunted House. Sophia, crimson from her ears to her cheeks, immediately lowered her head in embarrassment.
She had thought she could overcome it, but she had still cracked. Dark blinked and said, "I remember there's a ghost bar about two hundred meters west of here. You can sit there for a while. I'll come by around two." Sophia definitely didn't want to leave, but her feet had already started moving of their own accord.
She knew that following him any longer would only hold him back, so she nodded decisively. "Alright. You have to come find me at two!"
Dark nodded again, somewhat helplessly.
Sophia had helped him a great deal today. He wasn't the kind of person to discard someone after using them.
After seeing Sophia off, Dark entered the gigantic Haunted House once more.
This Haunted House covered a vast area, but there definitely weren't any "ghosts" inside.
There weren't even any NPCs playing ghosts or monsters.
When Dark had participated in its design, he had pointed out that having NPCs play ghosts in this competition zone was far too dangerous, and should therefore be prohibited. That was how this Haunted House, with a house but no ghosts, had come to be.
However, the decorations inside were extremely frightening, with numerous scare traps taking the place of ghost NPCs.
Spectators who enjoyed thrills would surely feel right at home here.
