All kinds of thoughts tangled in his mind.
At a certain moment, Charles suddenly came to his senses. He was certain that he had successfully awakened the "Demon God"!
The black hole born from the void, the aura spilling forth from it, and the furious roars still echoing through the cave all unquestionably proved that the "Demon God had once been here."
But after confirming that he had successfully awakened the "Demon God," Charles became lost again.
Because this was completely different from what he had expected.
Logically, now that he had awakened the "Demon God," he should have been enjoying the joy of success and accepting the "Demon God's" gift—becoming the "Demon God's" messenger, for example, or becoming the "Demon God's" messenger.
But none of that had happened.
In the vague, fragmented memories lingering in his mind, there was nothing of the sort.
Other than the changes in his magic power brought about by absorbing a few breaths of the "Demon God's" aura, there was nothing.
And if there was nothing, then what had he painstakingly awakened the "Demon God" for?
And what was he supposed to do about the "Demon King" soul parasitizing his body? Without the "Demon God's" help, how could he stop the "Demon King" from possessing his body?
Thus, confusion gave way to despair.
He suddenly realized that although the ritual appeared to have succeeded, he had gained nothing and resolved nothing.
In fact, things seemed to have gotten even worse! That was right.
When he examined his condition, he discovered signs that the "Demon King" soul within him was awakening.
The [Demon God] had awakened, yet brought nothing. The [Demon King] had awakened, yet would surely bring death.
And the one responsible for all this was that damned Dark Dimon!
Amid his pain and
