[Holy Sword]s could be forged, but whether the forging would actually succeed was not something the smith could control.
Researchers of the past generally believed that a "Holy Sword" forged by human hands had merely used that smith's hands to manifest in the present world.
Even so, smiths capable of forging "Holy Swords" were still considered exceptional and bestowed with the title of "Holy Swordsmith."
However, forging a Holy Sword was no easy task. It certainly could not be completed in just a day or two.
The current result must have been influenced by Hephaestus's authority, greatly accelerating the forging process.
"Holy Sword."
Inside the ancient arena, Victor Gaude was preparing for battle when he could not help turning to look.
But he soon shook his head and muttered, "The 'Demon King' is already gone. What use is a [Holy Sword]?"
Becoming a "Hero," gathering "Holy Swords," and slaying the "Demon King"—those had once been his lifelong goals for a very long time.
But times had changed. The "Demon King" was dead, with no sign of resurrection, and now that the Age of Gods had arrived, even a revival would no longer be the key issue.
Though there had been no shortage of Heroic legends in the past about "Heroes slaying evil gods," they were simply too vague and distant to be considered a goal.
Moreover, after experiencing so many events—especially after becoming a "Hero" for no apparent reason—he had suddenly come to regard all that so-called fate much more lightly.
Of course, perhaps it was merely the unique "I alone am awake" mentality of his age, making him feel that he had already awakened.
In any case, his desire for a "Holy Sword" was now far weaker than it had once been.
But a "Hero" was still a "Hero."
