Sylveon whispered to Miltank, "Mii, miiyo!? Mii!"
Miltank patted her chest and replied, "Moo, moomoomoo!"
Sylveon sat down, raised a paw, and stuck out one claw. "Mii!"
Miltank tilted her head, thought it over, then shook it firmly and raised both hooves. "Moo!"
Sylveon couldn't help frowning, but she gritted her teeth and held out for a while before slowly sticking out a second claw. "Miiyo!"
Miltank shook her head resolutely.
"Mii!"
Sylveon said indignantly, finally sticking out a third claw!
Only then did Miltank nod in satisfaction and lower her hooves.
Sylveon took three Little Red Flowers from her little cabinet and handed them to Miltank, her heart aching with every one.
Miltank took the Little Red Flowers and immediately put them in her own little cabinet, her face beaming with delight.
And so, the two reached a deal.
Miltank slung the Pink Satchel, stuffed full of [Finisher Card: Milk Drink], over her back and tiptoed toward the door.
When she reached it and glanced back, she saw Sylveon following behind her. "Moo."
Sylveon pursed her lips, wrapped a ribbon around the lock, and gave it a gentle twist. The lock clicked open.
Then she looped a ribbon around the doorknob and turned it, carefully pulling the door inward.
A cold draft slipped into the room, making the two Magic Spirits shiver.
"Moo!"
Miltank blew out a breath, then returned to the bedroom and took a scarf from her little cabinet, putting it on with great care.
Sylveon gave her a sideways glance but didn't go get her own scarf.
The two Magic Spirits slipped out of their dormitory for the first time, one after the other, beneath the bright moon.
Miltank waited outside while Sylveon turned around and closed the door.
Inside, Gatomon's ears twitched, then settled back
