Dark's expression darkened.
Though he could not understand Meowth's words, he could tell from its expression that the cat showed not the slightest remorse.
"Heh."
DemiDevimon poked its head out from the board above the table and said, "It means that if it were the one doing it, it would definitely catch the rabbit. As for the peaches, corn, watermelons, and so on, it wouldn't throw any of them away either! Hehe, carrying peaches, corn, and watermelons while catching rabbits, hehehe—"
Meowth: "Meow!"
(You're slandering me!)
Seeing Meowth beginning to brace its feet, Dark reached out and pressed a hand onto its shoulder, completely abandoning any illusions he had left.
"It seems that reasoning things out properly doesn't always work."
He took a deep breath and decided to try another approach. "Meowth, you don't have any Little Red Flowers yet, do you?"
"Meow."
Meowth shook its head, its eyes widening involuntarily.
Though it still did not know what Little Red Flowers were for, all the other Magic Spirits had them. Of course it wanted some too.
But Dark said, "Then I'll mark down -10 flowers for you."
Meowth: "Meow!"
Dark ignored the distorted cat face. He picked up some scraps from the table, quickly carved the words "Mischievous Trouble-maker" onto them, and threaded a string through the wooden tag.
Then he deliberately showed the tag to Meowth. "Do you know what these words say?"
"Meow." Meowth shook its head.
It was only a beginner, after all.
Dark merely smiled. "It's alright. You'll know soon enough."
As he spoke, he hung the wooden tag around Meowth's neck. "Every night
