But this [Soul Dust] was not particularly easy to use either.
"Materials like this [Soul Dust] generally have two attributes. One is related to its original body, 'Vampire,' and the other—

"—is 'Soul.'"
"If it has the 'Vampire' attribute, then [Bliss] and [Bat Grass] should be compatible with it."
"If it's 'Soul,' then [Gastly], which can evolve into [Gengar], comes to mind."
"But does [Gastly] need something like [Greed] and [Gas Grass]?"
"Or perhaps [Dreepy], which possesses both Dragon and Ghost attributes?"
"Or I could take a bigger gamble and use the basic (random) synthesis method to process that bottle of [Soul Dust]."
"Maybe I'll even synthesize another [DemiDevimon]!"
At that thought, Dark's gaze involuntarily drifted toward DemiDevimon, which was hanging upside down from the bird perch.
He then noticed that DemiDevimon was looking down mockingly at Meowth, who was lying on the small table doing its homework.
He did not pay much attention to it and turned back to continue thinking.
The more he thought about it, the more eager he became.
Of course, this was really just a gambler's mentality taking hold.
But Dark already had experience synthesizing [Shuckle], [Trash Slime], [Hawlucha], and [Popplio]. Although the three Magic Spirits aside from [Shuckle] lacked the strength of other Magic Spirits, they were actually quite good already.
Besides, deep down, he did not feel entirely at ease about Vlad's [Soul Dust].
He rather felt like, Why not just waste it outright?
"Use that bottle of [Soul Dust], add a little [Bliss], don't narrow the range at all, and rely entirely on randomness... I wonder what I'll synthesize?"
"I'm kind of looking forward to it. (★v★)"
Having finally settled on one way to use the material, Dark temporarily put down his pen and paper.
