Finally, like a heart, the fluctuations of magic power became steady and rhythmic.
Only then did Dark reach out and press his finger against the cocoon of light, injecting his expectations along with his magic power into it, as he had always done.
But this infusion of magic power caused the cocoon of light to suddenly tremble.
Immediately afterward, a beam of blade-like white light pierced through the surface of the cocoon, shooting out three inches.
Then, swaying left and right along the cocoon's centerline, that beam of white light cleanly split the cocoon in two!
As the cocoon gradually dissolved into motes of magical light, the Magitech Card wrapped within fell onto the table.
All the radiating light was drawn into the card, and there was no further movement.
Dark stared in surprise at the perfectly clean Magitech Card on the tabletop, free of any impurities, his gaze naturally focusing on its illustration.
It was a [Honedge] whose appearance differed greatly from what he had imagined!
An ordinary Honedge resembled a sword, its blade sheathed in a brown scabbard patterned with a face-like design.
At the center of its crossguard was a blue eye.
A long blue ribbon was tied to the end of its hilt. Its tip was light blue and split like fingers, allowing it to be used as an arm.
In battle, it wrapped its scabbard with the blue ribbon, exposing its blade to fight.
However, the Honedge depicted on this card looked like a shortsword, almost identical in shape to that [Holy Sword]. Though it had a scabbard, it was white with a faint tint of pale purple.
This was also completely different from the red of a Shiny Honedge.
"Is this hint of purple from the [Shield Turtle Jade] and [Greed]?"
