After all, the Demon King's vampire abilities came from Vlad, so she believed Vlad would surely have a solution. But later..."
Dark's expression turned strange. "But later, she discovered that Vlad had already been resurrected—and then died again?"
Professor Sylph shook her head. "That's precisely the problem. Vlad hadn't been completely killed this time either."
Dark froze. "What do you mean?"
Even his ashes had been refined. How could he still not be dead?
Professor Sylph said, "Ophelia Brad found Vlad's soul before we did. She cut off a portion of it and used that as the basis to create a phylactery."
Dark realized that tonight truly was a night of surprises. "A Lich's phylactery?"
Professor Sylph nodded. "More or less. In any case, she successfully nurtured Vlad's soul fragment back to completeness and intended to resurrect him once again on Easter... which is today!"
"I see."
Dark let out a long breath. "I finally understand."
Professor Sylph asked in confusion, "What do you understand?"
Dark touched the stowed-away "Misdreavus" Magitech Card, but did not mention that "Misdreavus" had been refined from Vlad's soul dust.
He had more or less identified the issue with "Misdreavus."
The Blood Princess had clearly already activated the ritual. Vlad was likely in the process of resurrection.
Moreover, Vlad's memories might very well be restored through "Easter" during this resurrection.
But "Vlad with his memories" was precisely the Vlad the Blood Princess wished to resurrect.
As "Misdreavus" had essentially been refined from Vlad's soul dust, it would naturally be affected by the ritual.
