Dimon's Duke's Mansion was located in the northern outskirts of the royal capital, backed against the mountains and facing south.
The estate covered an enormous area, with flower beds, gardens, and even a training ground. Running water flowed down from the cliff face behind the estate, forming a waterfall, while the pool beneath it housed rare aquatic beasts.
Dark had grown up in the Duke's Mansion, so he naturally knew the estate extremely well. He had even built a treehouse in a giant tree on the back mountain. Though it leaked drafts from every side, it still remained standing.
It was not until he was eight or nine that Dark learned the back mountain was not actually safe—what he had believed to be his little secret had, in fact, been under the old butler's watch all along.
After the old butler retired, he never went to the back mountain again.
The current Duke's Mansion was managed by the old butler's daughter, Head Maid Molly, who also served as the butler.
Molly was nearly thirty this year, yet she still had no partner, which worried the Duke greatly.
Under Molly were twelve maid corps, each led by a head maid with different duties. Together, they kept the entire Duke's Mansion running.
After the time it took to drink a cup of tea, Claire rode her Wyvern to the vicinity of the Duke's Mansion.
Looking down at the brightly lit mansion, Dark felt a pang of nostalgia.
At last, he was home!

Claire suddenly warned him.
Dark felt the back of his head tighten, and then he abruptly felt weightless.
Under Claire's control, the Wyvern dove sharply, descending at tremendous speed onto the Dragon Taming Platform before the gates.
The guards stationed nearby merely glanced in their direction before
