But Dark still took no action.
On the night of August 7, he drew 1.5 points from the slightly increased "Pride," bringing his reserve of "Pride" up to 30.5.
At that point, he once again found himself with no sin to draw upon.
But while "Greed" had yet to subside, he did not wish to deliberately trigger "Wrath" or "Gluttony."
Thus, he had to choose between "Pride" and "Bliss."
After careful consideration, he temporarily chose "Pride."
On one hand, increasing "Pride" was relatively easy.
On the other hand, he was worried that 30.5 points of "Pride" might still not be enough. Having a larger reserve would serve as a precaution.
Thus, after making the necessary adjustments, he drew "Pride" three times in a row over the remaining three nights, raising his reserve of "Pride" to 35 points.
By then, the writing of Mathematics 2 had also reached its final stage.
August 10, late at night.
Without the slightest hint of sleepiness, Dark wrote furiously. At three-thirty in the morning, he finally completed the last section.
In that instant, he felt as though his entire being had ascended!
It was as if, the moment he closed his eyes, he would see angels smiling at him.
Thinking back carefully, he did not seem to have worked this seriously even in the year of his college entrance exams.
Though that had something to do with mathematics being one of his strengths.
More than anything, however, it was a matter of mindset.
During the college entrance exams, he had been forced to work hard.
But now, he had thrown himself into it voluntarily.
That made his focus and initiative entirely different from before.
"I'll leave the checking for when I have free time later!"
Feeling utterly relaxed, Dark put down his pen. After washing
