"So, this rescue operation captured two Venerables from the Monster Race?"
As he listened to Taro's report, Lord of True Light, Captain of the Space Garrison, showed little reaction.
"Yes, Father!"
Taro hurriedly confirmed it, seemingly hoping to earn his father's praise.
"Good. Then you'll work with Augustus to evacuate the Human Race members in the surrounding area!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Taro's connection with his father, Lord of True Light, was abruptly cut off.
Taro looked somewhat dejected, but years of experience had taught him that while on duty, he had to address people by their ranks!
Elsewhere, the support force led by Lord of Thunderlight had already arrived within the Outer-Domain Battlefield.
"So you're saying that, apart from a handful of God Bases belonging to the Human Race, nearly all of them have been surrounded by Venerables from the various races?"
As he listened to his subordinate's report, Lord of Thunderlight wore a deeply troubled expression.
Though he was a Universe Master, he couldn't be everywhere at once.
At present, it wasn't just one God Base in need of support. All nine Outer-Domain Battlefields were in trouble, with over a thousand God Bases under siege.
With no other choice, he hurriedly contacted Chaos City Lord, hoping to get more support.
"That's right. The situation is much worse than we imagined!" Lord of Thunderlight replied helplessly when Chaos City Lord asked him about it.
Hearing this, Chaos City Lord didn't know what to do either. The entire Human Race was in chaos.
He knew that Noah was still alive, but he also knew of the arrangement between Noah and his teacher.
The Human Race needed to endure a grueling bloodbath before it could grow toward the light once more.
"I understand. I'll arrange for others to provide support. For now, head to the First Battlefield.
"Do your best to rescue our Human Race's powerful warriors there as quickly as possible."
"Understood!"
Lord of Thunderlight knew what he had to do. Now that he had a clear destination, he wouldn't waste any time.
"Lord of Divine Machine? What are you doing here?!"
Lord of Thunderlight glared furiously at the Machine Race Universe Master blocking his way.
He hadn't expected the various races to have already stationed Universe Masters here to intercept them.
Although his opponent was weaker than he was, he was still strong enough to hold him back.
"Lord of Thunderlight, what are you doing here?"
Lord of Divine Machine clearly thought little of the question.
Thanks to the Evolution Heart, the Machine Race was no different from ordinary life forms. Their mechanical nature merely made them somewhat indifferent to emotions.
But that didn't mean they lacked feelings. Especially now, as he faced Lord of Thunderlight, there wasn't a trace of fear in his eyes.
"You know damn well!"
Lord of Thunderlight had always been hot-tempered. At those words, he erupted, thunderbolts as thick as barrels surging wildly around him.
A top-tier War Blade Supreme Treasure was already gripped in his hand.
Wrapped in lightning, he charged at Lord of Divine Machine.
"Such a temper," Lord of Divine Machine said coldly. Then he released his Mechanical Puppets from his World Ring.
In an instant, countless E9-class Mechanical Puppets surrounded Lord of Thunderlight.
Of course, taking care of them would be as easy as breathing for him.
But there were just so many of them!
"Stay right there and take a slash!"
Lord of Thunderlight erupted with power, instantly crushing the puppets into metal pancakes.
But Lord of Divine Machine calmly brought out one mechanical creation after another.
That was the main reason Lord of Thunderlight didn't want to face him. The man wasn't just a Universe Master.
He was also one of the few master craftsmen in the Primal Universe. More precisely, every member of the Machine Race had their own unique skills in crafting treasures.
Lord of Divine Machine was simply more troublesome than most.
He possessed mechanical puppet technology similar to Mechanical Father God's. Combined with battle formations, it might not be enough to defeat Lord of Thunderlight, who had a Peak Palace Supreme Treasure, but it could certainly make things difficult for him.
And the time it bought would be more than enough for other powerful warriors to arrive.
Most importantly, the mechanical creations he was releasing were highly resistant to lightning-based laws and techniques.
In less than a day, Lord of Thunderlight had lost one-millionth of his divine body.
"Lord of Thunderlight, if you withdraw now, I believe the other races won't keep pursuing you. But if you press on, I can't promise when the others will arrive!"
"Go to hell!"
Lord of Thunderlight swung his War Blade, cutting down a Mechanical Puppet comparable to a Top-Tier Heavy Treasure.
Such things were easy for him to handle, but his energy consumption was far greater than Lord of Divine Machine's.
"Since that's how it is, there's no need for either of us to hold back!"
After running the calculations through his processor, Lord of Divine Machine made a snap decision and unleashed his full power.
He was a Fourth-Order Universe Master. Though he hadn't reached the fifth order, he was still strong enough to contend with Lord of Thunderlight.
"Bring it on!"
Lord of Thunderlight looked excited at the sight.
With a casual slash, he destroyed the ten puppets in front of him.
Then he clashed with Lord of Divine Machine.
"Venerable Machine Control, are you really going to stand in my way?"
Venerable Xutao, a Human Race powerhouse at the Universe Overlord level, glared at the Machine Race Overlord blocking his path.
"Yes. According to the plan, I will guard this place until the mission is complete."
Venerable Machine Control didn't dispute his words. He simply repeated what he had said before, in a mechanical tone.
"Fine!"
Venerable Xutao didn't waste another word. He immediately activated the secret technique that burned his divine body, gripped his Heavy Treasure-grade battleaxe, and charged.
And he wasn't the only one. Powerful warriors of the Human Race were being ambushed and besieged across the Primal Universe.
The fiercest fighting was taking place in the Outer-Domain Battlefield.
Without Hikari, a master craftsman capable of forging Top-tier Supreme Treasures, the Human Race's backbone would have had little chance of escaping these battles.
"Peak, notify all the Universe Masters to meet me in the Primal Universe!"
Noah summoned him in the Virtual Universe.
Soon, the virtual avatars of the Human Race's Universe Masters appeared before Noah.
"Light Ancestor/Teacher!"
The several Fifth-Order Universe Masters spoke first.
"Greetings, Light Ancestor!"
The other Human Race powerhouses followed.
These were all figures the Human Race could trust absolutely, and some of them had been around even longer than Original Ancestor.
"Everyone, long time no see!"
