Babata manifests within the ancient Falling Ink Star spaceship discovered beneath Mist Island. Having waited 50,000 years for Luo Feng, it initially tests both Luo Feng and Fang Yi, becoming immediately suspicious when it cannot measure Fang Yi's brain region. 62

After explaining cosmic power levels, possession, and Hu Yanbo's inheritance, Babata offers the pair discipleship—while threatening to kill them if they refuse in order to preserve Falling Ink Star's secrets. It accepts Luo Feng as Hu Yanbo's direct disciple and creates the designation of special disciple for Fang Yi, granting him broad access to the spaceship's data, secret manuals, and facilities. 62
