Returning to Mist Valley, Garen arrived at the edge of the cliff and slowly floated downward.
Having now grasped Weightless Strength, with the power and battle qi of a level 7 warrior, combined with the God-Slaying Blade, slaughtering level 7 magical beasts was as easy as mowing grass.
The reason Mist Valley was filled with such dense mist was due to the constant exhalations of countless water-type level 7 magical beasts, the Green-Veined Giant Python, using the level 1 magic spell Water Mist Spell.
Level 7 magical beasts provided just the right amount of experience, and although the skin of the Green-Veined Giant Python was incredibly tough, it was still countered by the sharp God-Slaying Blade, making them easier to kill than average magical beasts.
Thus, Garen decided to start by clearing out the Green-Veined Giant Pythons on the cliff walls.
After descending a hundred meters, the Map Function displayed red dots, so Garen tapped his God-Slaying Blade against the cliff face to create sound.
Sure enough, it immediately attracted the attention of several nearby Green-Veined Giant Pythons, all of which flicked their tongues and slithered over.
They crawled on the cliff wall as if it were flat ground, thinking prey had delivered itself to their doorstep, each scrambling to be the first; what they didn't know was that a ruthless slaughter awaited them.
Soon, four Green-Veined Giant Pythons approached, three of them opening their bloody maws and rushing toward Garen, seemingly afraid that this food would be snatched away by their peers.
"Swish, swish, swish."
With three simple and clean slashes from Garen, the three Green-Veined Giant Pythons were killed instantly, their heads stored into his Space Ring.
Ding, killed level 7 magical beast Green-Veined Giant Python, gained 332 experience.
Ding, killed level 7 magical beast Green-Veined Giant Python, gained 351 experience.
Ding, killed level 7 magical beast Green-Veined Giant Python, gained 347 experience.
The last, slower Green-Veined Giant Python saw this scene, its snake body trembling in fear, and it turned to flee.
Garen silently recited a magic incantation.
A self-created spell, the "Explosive Overlord Spear," formed from a combination of the level 6 magic Roar of the Wind and Explosive Fireball, took shape.
It had a ten percent bonus from the Sun Stone and Breeze Stone.
Garen threw it using the strength of a level 7 warrior, and its power was incomparably immense.
"Boom."
The fleeing Green-Veined Giant Python's head exploded; it was dead!
Ding, killed level 7 magical beast Green-Veined Giant Python, gained 311 experience.
Just like that, Garen floated from top to bottom, and by the time he reached the valley floor, he had slaughtered over a dozen Green-Veined Giant Pythons along the way, adding all the experience to his magic level.
Once his magic level reached level 7, he would study the Flight Spell; with the Flight Spell, whether chasing down magical beasts or escaping, it would be much more convenient.
The valley floor was a vast plain covered in overgrown weeds, and Garen didn't need the Map Function to see quite far with his naked eye.
Individual Green-Veined Giant Pythons slithered through the grass.
Not far away was a group of Earth-Walking Dragons, numbering at least a hundred, but unfortunately, Earth-Walking Dragons were level 6 magical beasts, so killing them now yielded no experience, and thus Garen had no interest in them at all.
Further away, individual Velociraptors walked about lazily; some were drinking water, some were strolling, and some were sleeping.
I've struck it rich, it's all experience; this really is a great place.
Garen thought excitedly.
He started with the nearest Green-Veined Giant Pythons; as long as Garen approached, the Green-Veined Giant Pythons were essentially mobile experience points.
Because he killed the Green-Veined Giant Pythons instantly, he didn't cause a huge commotion, and other magical beasts didn't rush over to surround Garen.
Soon, Garen had killed over a dozen Green-Veined Giant Pythons, and his magic level had also risen to level 7.
He paused his slaughter and began to study the level 7 wind-type magic, the Flight Spell, in the area he had cleared out. (The Ernst Institute only taught up to level 6 magic; they had nothing above level 7.)
Half a month later, Garen finally researched the Flight Spell; in truth, as long as one's magical mental energy was sufficient, the Flight Spell was the easiest magic to research.
Garen once again began his journey of slaughter.
In a few days, he had killed almost all the Green-Veined Giant Pythons within a radius of over ten miles on the plain, totaling over a hundred; he didn't have the heart to kill those on the cliff walls, as there were plenty of monsters now, and flying over to find them would be a waste of time.
He had gained over forty thousand experience, all of which he added to his warrior level.
His warrior level reached the mid-stage of a level 7 warrior.
He looted two Reinforcement Stones and one Socketing Stone.
There were two level 1 gems: one was a Level 1 Critical Hit Gem, granting a two percent critical hit chance, and the other was a Level 1 Blessing Gem, which reduced the consumption of magic power, battle qi, and mental energy by ten percent when using magic and battle qi.
Finally, there were two Primary Experience Cards.
Garen directly reinforced the God-Slaying Blade twice.
He removed the Level 1 Breeze Stone and replaced it with the Level 1 Critical Hit Gem.
The Level 1 Breeze Stone could only enhance wind-type magic and battle qi by ten percent, whereas the Critical Hit Gem could trigger a two percent critical hit chance for all attack methods.
In battle, it is better to break one of the enemy's fingers than to injure all ten; critical hits could raise the ceiling of his attack power.
He used the Socketing Stone directly on the Tiger God Armor, then socketed the Tiger God Armor with a Level 1 Blessing Stone.
God-Slaying Blade: Can cause massive damage to magical beasts below the god level (upgradable), gem smelting enabled (two slots).
Level 1 Sun Stone: Enhances the character's fire-type magic and battle qi damage by ten percent.
Level 1 Critical Hit Stone: Character gains a two percent critical hit chance when attacking.
Tiger God Armor: Provides strong protection against magical beasts below level 8, (upgradable), gem smelting enabled (two slots).
Level 1 Black Gem: Increases character speed by 5%.
Level 1 Blessing Stone: Saves 10% of magic, battle qi, and mental energy when using magic and battle qi.
"After the God-Slaying Blade is reinforced again, with its might, combined with my Tiger-Striped Warrior transformation, the Extreme Speed of a level 7 mage, and the acceleration from the Black Gem, I can fight any magical beast up to the peak of level 9 by relying on my speed advantage."
Garen couldn't help but think.
However, my defense is too weak right now, so I should reinforce the Tiger God Armor first. Once that's done, I'll be invincible below the Saint Realm, hehe.
With a goal comes motivation. Garen bypassed the Earth-Walking Dragon territory and snuck toward the area where the Velociraptors were.
Velociraptors are not pack animals, so they were scattered about individually.
Before he had grasped Weightless Strength, it would have taken some time to kill a massive Velociraptor. Now that the God-Slaying Blade has evolved, it can easily pierce the Velociraptor's scale armor. A single strike with Weightless Strength, concentrating battle qi power into a single point for an instant burst, is enough to kill a Velociraptor in one hit.
It was another ruthless slaughter. Within this twenty-kilometer radius, the roaming Velociraptors were mostly wiped out by him.
More than eighty level 7 Velociraptors provided him with over 28,000 experience points.
They dropped one Reinforcement Stone, one Level 1 Black Gem, and two Primary Experience Cards.
He used the Reinforcement Stone to directly reinforce the Tiger God Armor.
The system had previously prompted that gems could be synthesized, so Garen removed the Level 1 Black Gem from the Tiger God Armor.
When he held two Level 1 Black Gems in his hands, the system prompt sounded.
"Synthesize?"
"Yes."
Ding, synthesis successful.
Looking at the Level 2 Black Gem in his hand, Garen felt a surge of excitement. He fantasized about synthesizing a level 10 gem in the future, wearing the God-Slaying Blade and the Tiger God Armor, and having his combat power multiply several times over. He couldn't help but laugh out loud.
He immediately socketed the Level 2 Black Gem.
Garen
Warrior Level: 7 (85,342/100,000 experience)
Transformation Level: 9
Magic Level: 7 (129/100,000 experience)
God-Slaying Blade: ...(omitted, same as before, no changes.)
Tiger God Armor: Provides strong protection against magical beasts below level 9 (upgradable), smelting effect enabled (two slots).
Level 1 Blessing Stone: Saves 10% of magic and mental energy when using magic.
Level 2 Black Gem: Increases character speed by 10%.
Hehe, awesome. First, I'll raise my warrior level to 8, then head deep into the Mist Valley to farm level 8 magical beasts like the Fire Dragon and Green Dragon. Perfect.
