For such a massive event, this Eileen Cup was run a little less smoothly than the previous one. Though its scale had grown larger, coordination was clearly not as well-oiled as before. On one hand, the Witch Agency was short-staffed and was planning an enormous project, leaving it with no spare witch affairs officers to assign to Eileen. On the other, Eleanor's entire team was on collective vacation; they had come here with no desire to work at all, only to watch the matches and go shopping.
Alone in the empty lounge, Jiang Han watched through the glass as people hurriedly cleared the venue outside, and could not help shaking her head.

Though witches always mocked witch affairs officers for fighting over power and climbing the ranks through connections, the officers had even turned the position into an institution detached from politics yet wholly serving politics.
