After arranging the commission and having Jiang Han accept it, she decided to head back first to check on the prospecting vehicle and introduce Chen Ligu to the witches traveling with them.
Witches often took advantage of convenience to do a little private work on the side; there was no need to make a huge spectacle of it. Ordinary landfolk might have had objections to their companions taking private jobs, but witches did not.
Jiang Han led the way while Chen Ligu sorted through the supplies in her hands behind her, occasionally staring at Jiang Han's enormous cat tail as it swayed back and forth.
They had barely reached the entrance to Workshop Six when they ran into Lester, the ghost witch, standing outside and smoking fruit tobacco.
This fruit tobacco was rather interesting. It looked like an entire chunk of orange-colored citrus pulp. Once a ghost witch swallowed it, she immediately turned incorporeal, and waves of fragrant orange fruit scent would burst from her body. Her whole ghostly form would then seem as though it had been washed in a layer of orange light.
Lester let out a long, satisfied breath, transformed back into her witch form, then puffed out a cloud of orange smoke from her nose and mouth before belching contentedly.
"The inverted orange trees native to the desert lands—the fruit tobacco made from their inverted oranges is really something... Want one?" Lester said, producing several pieces of fruit tobacco from her pocket as if by magic.
Jiang Han smiled and waved her hand. Sea Siren witches got a little dizzy from smoking fruit tobacco, and it also made them yawn and want to sleep.
She said frankly, "No. I brought a friend back. She's commissioned us to take her prospecting in the desert."
Chen Ligu stepped
