The Void was an unstable—utterly unstable—plane. As time passed, rifts would randomly appear in planes inhabited by living creatures, tearing space apart. The Void would slowly erode them, embrace and exalt the creatures within, turning them into a part of the Void.

This was a supremely glorious transformation.

The people of the Void had always lived this way... until that day...

The evil witches poured into the Void through the rifts.

Each time, the Void had to gather the strength of its entire race. Countless billions upon billions of Void folk rose in resistance! Only then could they drive the Great Demons—the witches—from their homeland, and rebuild their scarred, ravaged Void nests.

But in the end... justice could not defeat evil.

The evil Great Demons grew ever stronger, while the righteous people of the Void became weaker and weaker. Yet the rifts in the Void would, from time to time,
