With every step, the golden patterns on her body faded a little, while the cracks in the ground around the hooded man deepened. His hand clenched more tightly around the withered wooden staff under the pressure of some force. Blood continually dripped into those fissures, seeming to answer some summons as it emitted a blood-red glow steeped in destruction.
By the time she reached him, her skin had become no different from an ordinary person's, crystalline and translucent. Her dancing crimson hair gradually returned to blue, and all the flames burning in her left eye withdrew into its pupil, leaving only a faint bloody gleam. She wore golden-red armor, with a cloak behind her snapping wildly amid the flames. Her entire being radiated an eerie beauty, like a witch who had stepped out of the Abyss.
The hooded man's entire body was already trembling violently, and bloody cracks had appeared across his skin. Yet those eyes remained as calm as the night sky.
