Blood Eye

Before he knew it, three days had passed.

Just as expected, Lambis did not come looking for Chen Rui again, and he was more than happy to enjoy the peace and quiet. Over those three days, Chen Rui visited the Purple Heart Treehouse twice. Each time, the progress and insights he displayed left Fenoya and Bernd stunned, as though he had gone through years of experimentation and realization. Naturally, the two masters had no idea that something as extraordinary as the Super System existed; they could only marvel endlessly at his "genius."

Fenoya's disciple Talanna benefited greatly as well. The elven master already had an exceptionally solid foundation, and after receiving guidance from the human from an angle entirely different from Teacher Fenoya's, she felt the path that had been growing narrower and narrower suddenly open up before her. Her former arrogance toward this human had turned into genuine respect.

Under the beautiful, tranquil moonlight, Blanche was building a fire and grilling food, while Chen Rui sat lost in thought. Neither of them spoke. Blanche handed him a roasted bamboo shoot, and Chen Rui took it, bit into it, and praised, "It smells wonderful!"

Although the Storage Warehouse was not lacking in food, this was Blanche's heartfelt gesture. Besides, the vegetarian dishes she prepared truly were exceptionally delicious.

Hearing his praise, Blanche's single eye brightened, only to quickly dim again. Rarely, she spoke first. "Are you leaving tomorrow?"

Over these three days, the half-elf had spoken fewer than ten sentences to Chen Rui, yet she had done far more than ten things for him: standing guard, cleaning, gathering food, looking after Dodo...

She was a girl who spoke through her actions, silently giving of herself to embody the word "friendship." Chen Rui did not say much in the way of
