A grand wedding began.
Though the preparations had been rushed, they did nothing to diminish the ceremony's splendor. Nearly every member of the Dragon Race in Dragon Valley had come.
This wedding was personally officiated by His Majesty Dragon Emperor Pargoris. The brides were the two daughters of Grand Elder Meriya: one was Lola, the Fairy Dragon who had once left Dragon Valley; the other was Isabella, Meriya's newly adopted daughter, who appeared to be human. Even more astonishingly, the groom, "Richard," was also human.
Though this "Richard" was human, he was an extraordinary powerhouse. The Storm Island trial grounds, which had always been highly praised by the Dragon Race, were his handiwork. The "official version" trial illusion realm called Endless Warrior OL, test-run yesterday at Rainbow Peak, was a hundred times better than the original trial. Not only was it free of danger, it was immensely entertaining and challenging, leaving countless dragons who had tried it utterly enthralled and unable to put it down.
It was said that "Richard" would soon spread this illusion realm throughout all of Dragon Valley. By then, every Dragon would be able to take part in Endless Warrior OL. That alone was enough to make all the dragons cheer.
Yet that was far from the only major event of yesterday. Grand Elder Meriya, who had been expected to step down or even be expelled, had regained the unanimous support of Dragon Emperor Pargoris and the major elders. Meanwhile, Elder Stanwell, once the most favored candidate, had not only gained nothing, but had also suffered a crushing defeat in his "spar" with Grand Elder's son-in-law, "Richard," losing all face.
Calling it a spar was generous. In truth, he had been thrashed before the many dragons taking part in the trial.
