Just now, while he was in the shop, a quest prompt had popped up from the system. Otherwise, he wouldn't have followed Karuizawa Kei.

"Come here." Xia Mu sat down on the bed and spoke to Karuizawa Kei.

With her head lowered, she obediently went over to Xia Mu.

The familiar feeling made her tremble all over in fear.

It was a scar left by the people who had bullied her in the past. She had reported it to the police back then.

But all they did was detain the perpetrators for a few days and give them a lecture.

As soon as they got out, they bullied her even worse, leaving her with severe psychological problems.

After saving the evidence and confirming that Karuizawa Kei wouldn't resist, Xia Mu took the ramen she'd brought with her.

Karuizawa Kei had no idea what Xia Mu was up to. She could only watch as he opened her ramen, picked up the chopsticks, and slurped up a mouthful.

She was so angry her teeth nearly ground together.

After swallowing, Xia Mu finally looked up at Karuizawa Kei's furious expression. "Don't look at me like that. I called you here to help you."

"Help me?"

Karuizawa Kei was so stunned she laughed. "How are you helping me right now?"

"If you really wanted to help me, you'd protect me and get rid of everyone who bullied me."

"If you did that, I wouldn't mind giving myself to you."

She was terrified of returning to her old life, so she was willing to give up everything she had in exchange for security.

"Being a parasite isn't easy, is it?" Xia Mu said pointedly as he ate the ramen.

Tap, tap.

At his words, Karuizawa Kei stumbled backward in fright, her eyes trembling wildly. "H-how did you know?"

"Tsk."

Xia Mu clicked his tongue, looking troubled, and waved a hand. "You can go. I'll contact you when I need you."

Karuizawa Kei froze. She hadn't expected Xia Mu to just let her go.

If an ordinary man had gotten hold of this kind of leverage over her, he would have been eager to take advantage of her.

Maybe he thought she was dirty...

Karuizawa Kei said nothing more. She just opened the door and slowly walked out.

After she left, Xia Mu thought about how to correct her.

Simply helping her would only make her dependent on him. It wouldn't change the root of the problem.

He needed to help her find the courage to fight back and gradually move on from the shadow of her bullying. That was the only way.

Then he made his way around the ship, familiarizing himself with its general layout.

When he returned to the deck to catch the breeze, he saw Kikyo Kushida.

She stood by the railing, facing the sea wind as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

The woman had an incredibly sharp sixth sense. Almost as soon as Xia Mu came up behind her, she turned around.

"Long time no see, Xia Mu."

She smiled sweetly. If Xia Mu hadn't seen her other side several times, he would have thought she was a normal woman.

Xia Mu said nothing to the two-faced Kikyo Kushida. He simply walked past her.

"Xia Mu."

Kushida's voice rang out coldly behind him. "I already gave you a chance, and you didn't take it."

"Now get ready for my revenge!"

Xia Mu ignored her. His figure had already disappeared into the darkness.

She pressed her red lips together, biting them until they broke and a trickle of blood appeared.

Back in his dorm room.

Xia Mu didn't take Kushida's threat to heart.

The woman wasn't capable of much. All she had were a few petty tricks.

"Since we're heading to a deserted island next..."

Xia Mu gazed intently at the new laptop he'd bought, his fingers dancing across the keyboard like he was playing the piano, clacking away.
