After leaving Chaos City, Snow Xi had no Golden Axe to teleport her this time, so she could only fly toward the training ground her two masters had chosen. Fortunately, it wasn't far, and she arrived soon.
It was a flat, rocky plain with nothing on it except a dark, blue-brown bronze disc in the center.
Snow King and Huangxin stood side by side on the disc. When Snow Xi arrived, they gestured for her to join them. Seeing their stern expressions, like strict teachers, Snow Xi knew from the way Snow King kept blinking that she was only pretending to be serious.
Snow Xi didn't call her out, though. It was the first day of lessons, so a little seriousness was for the best. She obediently stepped onto the disc and stood between them.
Huangxin was clearly pleased by Snow Xi's compliance. He nodded, exchanged a glance with Snow King, and each placed an arm on one of Snow Xi's shoulders. The next moment, a familiar dizziness rose from beneath her feet.
The bronze disc glowed with a bright green light, swallowing the three of them whole. A moment later, the light faded. Only the disc remained in the empty valley, and silence settled over the place.
Under her masters' protection, Snow Xi arrived in a dim space. She asked in confusion, "Master, where are we?"
Snow King seemed to have little desire to explain, perhaps because she hadn't gotten to eat any delicacies. Huangxin, on the other hand, laughed heartily and proudly led Snow Xi and the stiff-bodied Snow King onward, explaining as they walked, "This is what Snow King and I spent several days putting together. From now on, come here to cultivate and comprehend the laws."
As they left the cave, the view suddenly opened up.
