Xue Xi's third year in Chaos City.
On the scale of the universe, this period of time was insignificant. But for Xue Xi, it was the longest she had ever stayed in one place. For the past three years, her life had been much the same: monotonous, but never dull.
She spent her days cooking and working on the progress bar for spreading her cuisine, studying the Culinary Dao Laws, and setting aside one day each week to train with her two masters. Every so often, she also met up with a few friends. And so the days passed, little by little.
That day, Xue Xi was working in the kitchen as usual. The Chef God Domain worked nonstop like a tireless machine, handling everything from selecting and preparing ingredients to serving up the finished dishes. Of course, Xue Xi wasn't idle either. She was constantly researching how different ingredients could be combined. Food and medicine shared the same source; after years of accumulating knowledge, she could even concoct some simple medicines.
The results were impressive. Her comprehension of the Culinary Dao Laws now matched her progress with the Law of Water and Fire. Combined with her mastery of pot and knife techniques, she could defeat an ordinary World Lord with a single move, leaving the other geniuses of her generation far behind.
However, in all these years, neither master had let her show off her strength at Heavenly Bridge or Heavenly Mountain. They said there was an important wager that required their beloved disciple to take part. As for comprehending the Chaos Stele, with the Law Tower at her disposal, the first few images weren't that important to her. And so, she hadn't once appeared before the public to demonstrate her skills in three years.
