The Boss's HP was already down to half. Aside from the Ice Condensation Bead mechanic from earlier, it hadn't triggered any new mechanics.
Xiao Fan guessed that was probably all there was.
More than half the ice had melted, leaving the group with less and less space to move around. One slight mistake and the Boss could hit them, so Xiao Fan kept his eyes fixed on its movements, adjusting the team's positions in time.
"Jiu Chen, at this rate, we'll never kill the Boss before the ice melts. Hurry and think of something."
Wind Snow Traveler sounded anxious.
The kiting strategy Xiao Fan had taught them really was effective. If they weren't up against a time limit, it would have been the perfect approach.

The first time, when there had been no ice, the Mermaid Princess had dived beneath the sea immediately. But once the ice appeared, she only attacked them from atop it. Even after most of the ice had melted, she still hadn't left.
In theory, if the Boss dived to the bottom of the sea, killing them would be a piece of cake. But she hadn't done that, which could only mean one thing.
The Boss's mechanic was that she couldn't dive beneath the sea until the ice disappeared.
Xiao Fan's eyes lit up as he suddenly thought of a plan.
"Archers, get back on the boat and attack the Boss. Everyone else, stop attacking."
By now, all the players understood the Boss's mechanic. They had to kill her before the ice melted.
