"He really was here."
Danheng did indeed find something Stelle had left behind in the carriage.
However...
"Mm, it really suits Stelle's style."
It was a Trash Can Model with arms and legs. Its arms were folded across its chest, making it look rather imposing.
"I'd better not take this out."
He was not Stelle. He would not freeze in place at the sight of a trash can.
Nor did he understand why Stelle had such a special fondness for trash cans rather than roadside signs or traffic lights.
Still, Danheng chose to respect Stelle's hobby. If the child liked digging through trash cans, then let her dig through them—as long as she did not do it so much that the locals could no longer stand it and reported her.
"Mister Danheng!"
Danheng turned at the call and saw Qin Ming approaching with the group of students he had met earlier.
"Boss, why have we never heard Teacher Qin mention this Danheng before?"
Among them, a handsome young man with short blond hair leaned close to the blue-clad young man at the front and asked quietly.
"I haven't heard of him either. Teacher Qin only said that Mister Danheng was a mysterious expert he met in Suotuo City, and that he was at least fifteen levels stronger than Teacher Qin."
The blue-clad young man repeatedly sized Danheng up. He had only learned of this so-called Mister Danheng today as well.
"Fifteen levels?"
The blond young man cried out in surprise, drawing the attention of the others, including Qin Ming, who was walking ahead.
"Uh, it's nothing, nothing."
The blond young man gave an awkward laugh. At least fifteen levels stronger than Teacher Qin? Wouldn't that make him a Soul Douluo?
"Mister Qin, sorry to trouble you. I can look around on my own."
"How could that do? Since you're already here, I naturally have to do my duty as a host."
Danheng swept his gaze over the group. Everyone from before was present, including the little girl who had been poisoned, Dugu Yan.
"These are my students. You have met them before: Yu Tianheng, Dugu Yan, Osler, Yu Feng, Shi Mo, Shi Mo, and Ye Lingling."
Qin Ming briefly introduced them to Danheng, but Yu Tianheng looked puzzled.
"Teacher Qin, this should be our first time meeting Mister Danheng, shouldn't it?"
The others nodded as well. They did not remember ever meeting Danheng.
"You haven't met him, but he has met you."
Qin Ming smiled faintly, but his words caused the expressions of the Royal Fight Team members to change.
Danheng had seen them before and even recognized who they were?
When had that happened?
"By the way, Yan Yan, did your grandfather say when he would arrive?"
Dugu Yan stood there blankly for a while before finally coming back to herself.
"Oh, Grandfather said he would be here soon. He also said he had something to ask you."
Dugu Yan was somewhat confused. She did not know why Teacher Qin had summoned her grandfather, and she was equally puzzled as to where Danheng had seen them.
Or rather, seeing them was not important. What mattered was how he had known they were Teacher Qin's students.
"He has something to ask me?"
Qin Ming was taken aback as well, then immediately understood. He turned to look at Danheng.
"Mm, wait here a moment."
Qin Ming led Danheng aside, putting some distance between them and the Royal Fight Team.
"Mister Danheng, Dugu Yan's grandfather is probably coming for you."
Qin Ming spoke quietly into Danheng's ear.
Poison Douluo would seek out Qin Ming because of what Qin Ming had said about Dugu Yan.
But Qin Ming had not been the one to notice it. If he could not explain it clearly when the time came, things would likely become troublesome.
"I know."
Danheng was no fool. Qin Ming simply wanted him to deal with this Poison Douluo who bore the title Poison.
That suited Danheng perfectly. He had been wondering how to arrange a meeting with Poison Douluo in the first place.
"When Poison Douluo arrives, just let me know."
"Alright."
"Teacher Qin, what secret are you two whispering about? Is it something we can't hear?"
After they returned to the Royal Fight Team, the blond Yu Feng teased them.
"You really can't hear it. It's adult business. Children should mind less."
"We're not children anymore, alright!"
"Enough. Go do as you please. Pack everything up as soon as possible and prepare to head for Suotuo City."
"Mister Danheng, let me show you around the academy."
After sending off the Royal Fight Team, Qin Ming led Danheng around the academy.
Quite a few students were on the road. When they saw Qin Ming personally leading Danheng, they all stopped in surprise.
Qin Ming held a high position in the academy. What sort of person could make him personally guide them around?
"If you're going to Suotuo City, then aside from the Berserker Squad, I think there may be another team worthy of fighting you."
"I don't know whether the students of this academy participate in team Soul Fights, but if they do, you should run into them."
"Shrek Academy?"
Based on what Danheng had said, Qin Ming had already roughly guessed it. His alma mater, Shrek Academy!
But Qin Ming remembered that the academy had only had three students last year. Had it recruited enough people this year to participate in team Soul Fights?
"Teacher Qin knows about it too?"
"Haha, of course I do. I graduated from Shrek Academy myself!"
No wonder.
"From the sound of it, Mister Danheng, you have some connection to Shrek Academy as well?"
"More or less. Someone I know studies there."
There was definitely a connection, but whether it was a good one or a bad one was another matter. Better not ask.
"Is that so? Then does Mister Danheng know what level the new students who joined the academy this year are at?"
"Which country bumpkin just hit my little brother?"
As the two were talking, another discordant voice rang out.
"Fourth Prince, what brings you here?"
The newcomer had striking reddish-brown hair, and the arrogance on his face was utterly undisguised. With his eyes wide in anger, he embodied the words "looking down on everyone" to perfection.
"This country bumpkin beat my man. What do you think I came here for?"
Xue Beng gave Qin Ming no face at all. He pointed at Danheng and immediately began shouting.
"Fourth Prince, Mister Danheng is a guest of the academy. Please do not forget royal etiquette."
"To hell with your royal etiquette! It's a fact that he beat my man. So what if he's a guest? I'm a prince! Are you trying to oppose me for this guy?"
Xue Beng cursed outright, and Qin Ming's expression immediately darkened.
"I only fear that once His Majesty learns of Your Highness's actions, Your Highness will inevitably be punished."
"Hah? You think Father would punish me over this guy? Teacher Qin, have you been drinking too much, or have I?"
"Enough."
Danheng cut off their conversation and walked straight over to Xue Beng, looking down at him.
"What do you want?"
No explanation, no rebuttal. Danheng merely spoke those four words calmly, yet Xue Beng instantly felt as though the shadow of death had descended over him, filling him with terror.
Damn, did I pick a fight with the wrong man?
Xue Beng was already regretting it. If Danheng was some desperate fugitive who simply killed him and fled far away, wouldn't he be completely screwed?
