Background / History

Danheng awakens alone in the Star Dou Great Forest after the Astral Express crashes, leaving him unable to contact the train or receive signals from the planet. He resolves to locate local civilization, learn the world’s rules, and eventually reconnect with the Express. His first observations reveal that slain beasts leave behind rings and bones that humans absorb for power. 1

He meets Zhu Zhuqing during her confrontation with Zhu Zhuyun’s group and takes Zhuqing with him in exchange for guidance about Douluo Continent. During their travels, he learns about Soul Masters, Soul Rings, Soul Bones, and the succession conflict within the Star Luo royal family. 2 4

Although locals repeatedly mistake Cloud-Piercer for a martial soul, Danheng is not native to Douluo Continent. He later confirms to Di Tian that he belongs to the unfamiliar Vidyadhara race. 23 88

Danheng is a tall, slender young man with a stern face, deep blue eyes, and an unusually calm bearing that frequently draws attention. 5

Danheng is observant, pragmatic, and intensely curious about unfamiliar places, creatures, history, and power systems. His guiding aim on Douluo Continent is exploration: he investigates local civilization, rare herbs, ancient remains, powerful Soul Beasts, divine inheritance, and foreign regions rather than pursuing a faction’s agenda. 1 38 102 199

He generally prefers efficient, nonviolent solutions and remains polite even when his overwhelming strength intimidates others. However, he does not hesitate to use force when it is faster, necessary, or when others persistently threaten him. 4 20 79

Despite his reserved demeanor, Danheng is generous with resources and guidance. He gives Zhu Zhuqing a valuable Soul Bone, trains Feng Xiaotian, rewards Yue Guan with an Immortal Herb for his expertise, and allows Yang Wudi to keep the Mountain Spirit Water Lotus after defeating him. 4 24 30 66 166
