Background / History

Chen Shuang arrived at the Ancient Temple with Elder Liu Yun and other Demon Sect warriors to locate Xia Bingbing, whose family had been exterminated by the sect. He openly sought a fight with Dragon Roar Martial Hall’s Shen Changsheng and chose Murong Canghai as his opponent, hoping the elder blade master would serve as a whetstone for his own Blade Momentum. 21 22

During the battle, Chen Shuang comprehended Blade Intent. He and the Demon Sect elders later combined their strength to block Murong Canghai’s final strike, but the confrontation ended inconclusively after A-Lian intervened. Chen Shuang then learned that Li Qiming had killed his younger brother, Chen Ajiu, and swore revenge. 34 35 36
