"Welcome, Class A students. We've been expecting you."
In the conference room, I greeted the 37 Class A members with deliberately respectful language, excluding the absent Arisu, as well as Katsuragi and Totsuka, who were already present.
Nearly half of them were clearly hostile. They were probably members of the Katsuragi Faction.
"That fake-polite way of talking is disgusting, Hikigaya. Cut it out and tell us why you called us here!"
Kamuro said with a sigh. Was it really that disgusting...? Still, this wasn't the time to dwell on it.
"My apologies. I'll get straight to the point. I'll be deciding Totsuka's punishment. Since it concerns all of Class A, I summoned everyone here."
The moment I finished speaking, a boy nearby roared.
"What the hell?! Don't let some Class D nobody come in here acting all high and mighty!"
"You humiliated Katsuragi-senpai and still have the nerve to talk big?!"
"You're the one who should be expelled!"
The students who appeared to belong to the Katsuragi Faction erupted.
"Totsuka was the one at fault! Don't drag us into this!"
"Yeah! Just expel Totsuka already!"
"Don't get full of yourself just because Arisu kissed you!"
Then the students who appeared to belong to the Sakanayanagi Faction erupted as well, their angry shouts echoing through the conference room. It was basically what I had expected. Fewer than ten people, including Hashimoto and Kamuro, remained calm.
"Quiet. The faculty has already approved this. You have no right to object."
Just as I thought that, Chabashira-sensei spoke up. Apparently, no one dared defy a teacher. Though they remained hostile, they fell silent.
"Before I announce the punishment I've chosen... Hashimoto."
"What?"
"Move the Sakanayanagi Faction students one by one to the wall on the right."
"Huh? Why?"
"Just do it."
"Fine..."
