Regular Meeting

"Congratulations, everyone. Every single person in our class passed the midterm exam this time."

Kazuma Sakagami posted the midterm results on the blackboard.

Because of their diligent review, and the fact that the content of the exam papers had been mixed into their practice sessions during the final two days before the test, passing this exam was a foregone conclusion.

"I knew it, I said there wouldn't be any problems with this exam."

"We did work hard for so long, after all."

"We definitely need to relax properly today."

Sagara didn't say much in response; after all, they had indeed worked hard during this period, and relaxing was well-deserved, though he didn't forget to offer a reminder.

"From now on, study sessions will be fixed for Wednesday evenings at six o'clock in the library. Everyone must attend. After all, this was just a midterm exam; there is still the final exam ahead."

"Understood."

"What are we doing next? You should have already laid out the plan for the next exam, right?"

After class, Ryuen, Kaneda, and Shiina came to Sagara's desk once again to ask about the upcoming plans.

"More or less. Do you remember that before the midterm exam, I asked Sakagami-sensei, 'When will the next special exam similar to the one in the first month of school occur?'" Sagara provided a hint.

"Sakagami-sensei's reply at the time was that there wouldn't be another one this semester." Shiina recalled the incident. Everyone in the class had breathed a huge sigh of relief when they heard that, as the behavioral assessment was quite disadvantageous for their class.

"So the next special exam is next semester? Isn't that too far away?" Ibuki said instinctively.

"The end of this semester doesn't mean the start of the next semester," Sagara said, shaking his head. "Later, during PE class, I asked the PE teacher if the swimming test meant it would be used later. Although the teacher didn't say it directly at the time, this school wouldn't do something so pointless.

However, the Sports Festival isn't in this semester, and I haven't heard of the school holding any swimming-related competitions."

"Eh, summer vacation!" Ibuki's eyes widened. There are exams during summer vacation too?

"You didn't think this school would let us rest in our dorms for two months, did you?" Ryuen looked at Ibuki with a sneer. This idiot was the same as ever.

"You." Ibuki glared at Ryuen unhappily, but Ryuen ignored her and looked at Sagara instead. "That's why you had me sign that contract, isn't it?

If it's a confrontation between two classes, there's a guaranteed target to beat. Even if it's a free-for-all among four classes, by forming an alliance with Class B and holding the lifeline of Class D, we could completely crush Class A using a three-on-one strategy."

"Does that mean we've already won the next special exam?" Kaneda was somewhat stunned. Is such a thing even possible?

"Not quite. Without knowing the specific format of the exam, I can only guarantee that we won't lose," Sagara shook his head. It was merely a matter of preparing in advance to increase their odds of winning.

"I feel like Sagara-kun is like a detective," Shiina said with a sigh. "To be able to deduce so much from just a few fragments of clues."

"Is that so?" Sagara just smiled. He was simply accustomed to investigating things.

"This is the newest member of the Student Council, Sagara Zoya from Class C of the first year." At the Monday Student Council meeting, Manabu Horikita introduced Sagara to the other members.

"Sagara, this is Miyabi Nagumo, the Student Council Vice President." It was a blonde boy, and the look in his eyes as he gazed at Sagara was filled with an inexplicable meaning.

"This is the Student Council Treasurer, Ikuto Kiriyama." The man looked very serious, and when he heard the President say that Sagara was from Class C of the first year, his expression changed noticeably.

After a brief introduction, Manabu Horikita started the regular Student Council meeting immediately.

In fact, these meetings were mainly for delegating work. In this school, the Student Council held extremely high authority. The approval of club budgets and applications for off-campus competitions all had to be reported to the Student Council for review. Furthermore, the handling of daily conflicts between students and the allocation of equipment for special exams all required the Student Council's oversight.

"Regarding the upcoming special exam for the third-year students, Kiriyama, you will be responsible for the allocation and review of the equipment."

"Understood, Senior."

"Nagumo, you will be responsible for reviewing the club budget applications for this semester. Get it processed and reported within this week."

"Understood, Senior."

"Sagara, you and Tachibana will be responsible for recording the changes in Class Points for each grade level and posting them on the school bulletin board."

"Understood, President."

Tachibana looked at Sagara with dissatisfaction in her eyes. Why do you have to use the same title as me!

If Sagara knew what Tachibana was thinking, he could only helplessly point out that using titles while working was common sense.

"Next, is the schedule for Student Council duty."

Because conflicts between students usually require the Student Council to handle them, someone from the Student Council needs to be on duty every day.

"I am responsible for duty on Mondays and Fridays, Tachibana on Tuesdays, Kiriyama on Wednesdays, and Nagumo on Thursdays. The weekends will follow the usual rotation. Sagara, since you just joined the Student Council and are not yet familiar with its affairs, you won't be assigned individual duty for the time being. Follow me and learn for two weeks, then we will rearrange."

"Understood, President."

"This week's meeting is now adjourned. Sagara, stay behind and be on duty with me. The others may leave."

After Horikita announced the end of the meeting, Tachibana stayed behind to accompany the President.

Kiriyama said goodbye to the President and left immediately. As for Nagumo, he approached Sagara before leaving.

"So you're the junior the President thinks highly of? Ichinose mentioned you before. To think you're a student from Class C."

"I appreciate the President's favor, but is there anything else, Vice President?" Sawahara looked at the Student Council Vice President with a smile. Since he had been pulled into the student council by the President, he would inevitably clash with this Vice President sooner or later, so Sawahara simply chose his side directly.

"There's no need to be so hostile toward me. I have no interest in you right now; I would much rather compete with the senior." Nagumo looked at Manabu Horikita, who was sitting to the side, his words laced with provocation.

"The senior is still the same as ever." Receiving no response, Nagumo merely smiled and looked back at Sawahara. "Once you promote to Class A, perhaps we can play around as well."

After saying this, Nagumo left the student council room.
