Background and History

Decline in the Jia Ma Empire

The Ye Clan had declined significantly by the time Ye Changge emerged within its Jia Ma Empire branch. Its highest known cultivation method was only Profound-tier High-grade, its elders were largely Dou Ling-level, and its ancestor had remained stalled at Peak Nine-star Dou Huang. The clan had not produced a Dou Zong for roughly three centuries. 52 58 60

The clan’s fortunes changed when Ye Changge, then regarded as a utility disciple responsible for tending the ancestral tombs, broke through to Dou Wang. The elders traced the golden-winged phenomenon to the ancestral grounds, and the entire clan mobilized to identify and recruit the unknown prodigy. 51 52

The clan head offered Ye Changge the position of Young Master. He initially refused, citing ambitions beyond the Jia Ma Empire, but clan members subsequently addressed him as Young Master and regarded him as the clan’s central hope. 53 57

The Ye Emperor Scripture

At the rear-mountain stone tablet, Ye Changge staged a heaven-shaking phenomenon that convinced the clan he had comprehended its millennium-old inheritance. The elders believed that no Ye Clan genius of the previous thousand years had been able to decipher the stele. 57 58

Ye Changge privately considered the stone tablet ordinary, but used it as the purported source for the Ye Emperor Scripture, an Emperor-tier technique and accompanying combat arts. He also presented high-grade medicinal pills, including Shattering Sect Pills, to the ancestor, patriarch, and core elders. 56 59 60

The scripture was attributed to the clan’s founding ancestor, Ye Emperor, and its revelation established within the clan the belief that they were descendants of an ancient Dou Emperor lineage. 60 210

Rise to Jia Ma Empire Supremacy

The medicinal pills and Ye Emperor Scripture immediately strengthened the clan. Its ancestor broke through to Dou Zong, while the clan’s growing power forced major Jia Ma Empire factions—including the Imperial Family—to pledge obedience to the Ye Clan’s command. 61 62 64

Ye Changge also arranged for Ye Emperor Hall to protect the clan through a Spatial Wormhole. His subordinates were ordered to reinforce the Ye Clan immediately should it face danger. 131

Over the following decades, Ye Royal City became the clan’s private ancestral land. Non-clan residents were relocated, and the Jia Ma Imperial Family granted Ye Zhan a hereditary princely title after the clan’s service in war. By this period, the clan publicly possessed more than a dozen Dou Zongs, surpassing the Imperial Family in strength. 218

Return of Ye Emperor

Within the Heavenly Tomb, Ye Changge activated the Ye Clan’s clan mark with the Ye Emperor Scripture and successfully summoned Ye Emperor’s soul body. Ye Emperor confirmed that he had watched Ye Changge’s conduct and approved of him as a descendant. 210

Ye Changge, Yao Chen, and their allies then restored Ye Emperor using a white-jade puppet, a Bone-Generating Blood-Melding Pill, and Ninth-Tier Dragon-Phoenix essence blood. Ye Emperor resurrected at late-stage Nine-star Dou Sheng and began planning the Ye Clan’s full restoration. 212 213

Ye Emperor transferred cultivation to Ye Changge to reawaken the clan’s Imperial Blood, then sought control of the Heavenly Tomb as a cultivation resource for the clan. 214

Heavenly Tomb Cultivation and War

Ye Emperor transported Ye Royal City and its inhabitants into the Heavenly Tomb, where the energy concentration greatly exceeded that of the outside world. He ordered the clan to produce at least thirty Dou Zuns in six years, supplied cultivation methods, Dou Skills, and energy cores, and prohibited anyone from leaving the city. 219 220

The clan produced forty-five Dou Zuns and more than two hundred Dou Zongs during this period. Ye Emperor also revived the Eight Saints of the Ye Family to reinforce the clan’s leadership and defense. 220

When the Hall of Souls used the Lion Underworld Nation to invade the Jia Ma Empire, the Ye Clan mobilized its Dou Zuns to defend the empire. It annihilated the Hall of Souls’ deployed Celestial Venerables and Venerable Elders, then assisted the Jia Ma Empire’s forces for a further seven days. 221 223 227

Relocation to the Ye Emperor Realm

After settling Jia Ma affairs, Ye Emperor reopened and anchored the Ye Emperor Realm, the clan’s ancestral homeland, in the Tianquan Mountain Range of the Central Continent’s Southern Region. 228

Ye Royal City and roughly one hundred thousand descendants were relocated into the realm over the course of a month. The former city was sealed away, intended for the day the clan could openly return to the Central Continent. 229
