• Senba Gari persuaded Mari Nishikino to let Maki return to Otonokizaka and join μ's, then accompanied the girls to her family’s Okinawa villa for a summer training camp.
• Senba Gari studied an ancient scroll and dreamed of Divine’s past, while a shadowy mastermind drew μ's and Senba Gari into a haunted house’s Nightmare Realm.

• μ's lost the auditorium and held a rain-soaked rooftop concert, where Honoka Kosaka collapsed after performing and was hospitalized.
• After μ's withdrew from Love Live! and Minami Kotori revealed she planned to study abroad, Honoka quit the group before recovering her resolve and racing to the airport with Senba Gari to bring Kotori back.
• μ's reunited and performed START:DASH!! to a packed audience, but Gari and Takai Geki were called away to fight Cerberus, which nearly killed Gari.

After Kashu regained his memories and joined them, the story shifted to μ's as the members considered entering the second Love Live! and Honoka led them on an unexpected outing.

• Senba Gari and Takai Geki entered the forbidden grounds, survived the Four Sacred Beasts, and passed Qilin’s test, earning Takai Geki the Beast Soul Driver.
• Takai Geki and Senba Gari trained together, and Geki used the Beast Soul Bracelet to defeat Snapping Turtle Mlortha, though the transformation drained his life force.
• Senba Gari and Takai Geki rescued Minami Kotori from her kidnapper and Tengu Mlortha, and Gari later confessed his feelings to Kotori as she decided to change.
• Torch Dragon told Senba Gari and Takai Geki that the Beast Soul Drivers were tied to the Mlortha, while Senba Gari’s power drove him into a dangerous berserk state.
• Yuki Anju found the amnesiac Kashu and took him in, but Naraku’s illusion later made Kashu transform into Chievil and attack Divine.

μ's entered the Love Live! preliminaries, survived a stolen song, and reached the next round while Senba Gari faced dangerous encounters with Hagoromo Gitsune and Muramasa. As the group prepared for a fashion show without Honoka, Umi, and Kotori, Rin struggled to accept being their center.

• Honoka Kosaka decided μ's would enter Love Live! after Nico challenged her to race up the shrine steps, and the girls began a training camp at Maki Nishikino’s villa to create a new song.
• Senba Gari and Rin Hoshizora, Yazawa Nico, Umi Sonoda, and Nozomi Tojo fell into hidden ruins, where Hagoromo Gitsune captured the girls and Sin briefly took over Gari’s body before Torch Dragon rescued them.
