• Chen Changsheng used Heaven’s Mandate to strengthen the Puppet Legion, then ordered its campaign while admitting he could not escape his pain or choose death.
• Little Wood married Xiao Qing, but Chen Changsheng manipulated him into killing Jade Completion, then revealed his deception and left Little Wood grieving his mother’s death and Jade Completion’s.
• Cao Muzi recounted the ancient war against the Four Brahma Three Realms and explained how the Supreme Sage and others had helped prepare a plan against the Uncanny.
• Chen Changsheng became Heavenly Emperor Chang Sheng and took control of Ping Yu Heaven, while Little Wood learned that the Undertaker’s campaign had badly injured powerful enemies.

Chen Changsheng helped defeat Old Man Yao and rebuild the epoch, then returned to life and began exploring a new world with Qian Ya and Bai Ze. As they pursued immortality and alchemy, clues to the DuSheng True Fire and Bright Immortal Rock pointed toward their next journey.

• Chen Changsheng exposed Wu Chen’s use of the Uncanny and ordered Zhang Zhen to kill him, then led Wang Hao and the Asuras in a long campaign against the Undertaker’s forces.
• Chen Changsheng confronted Old Man Yao, whose scheme had helped evolve the Uncanny, and fought him with help from Scholar’s preparations and their allies.
• After three thousand years of battle, Chen Changsheng’s forces sealed Old Man Yao in the Black Cauldron, and Chen Changsheng named Little Wood the Heavenly Emperor Chang Sheng before withdrawing from the world.
• Nian Sheng used Chen Changsheng’s origin to bring him back, and Chen Changsheng set out with Qian Ya and Bai Ze to wander the new era.
• Chen Changsheng and Bai Ze took an Evergreen of Ten Thousand Years and made a crude black pill that the Pill Tower’s alchemists began investigating.

Chen Changsheng entered the Pills Convention while concealing his abilities, then traveled into the Endless Sea with Bai Ze and a group seeking the DuSheng True Fire. The group landed on a dangerous island, where Chen Changsheng staged a test of his companions’ resolve.

• Chen Changsheng hunted a Ming Snake with Bai Ze, rescued Ling Shuang from its lair, and later entered the Pills Convention disguised as a low-level alchemist.
• Chen Changsheng manipulated the convention’s rankings with his Water Refining Method, placed eighty-eighth, and escaped recruiters while the Pill Domain began noticing him.
• Ling Shuang and Chen Feng joined Bai Bingyang and Guan Ping on an expedition to find the DuSheng True Fire in the Endless Sea, while Chen Changsheng and Bai Ze followed in a small boat.
• Chen Changsheng rescued Ling Shuang’s group after their Mulberry Wood Boat became lost, then joined them as they sailed deeper into the unknown sea.
• Chen Changsheng befriended Chen Feng and offered to teach him swordsmanship, while Cui Ling Shuang explained her ambitions and continued challenging him.
• After the group landed on an island, Chen Changsheng revealed Guan Ping’s exceptional sense of smell and claimed she had uncovered his hidden alchemy identity, though he later admitted he had fabricated much of his story.
• When Great Demons attacked the group on the island, Chen Changsheng fled toward the shore and revealed he had replaced their Mulberry Wood Boat with a fake.
• Chen Changsheng watched from the boat as the Treasure Vomiting Rat struck down Cui Ling Shuang and Bai Bingyang, while Chen Feng and Guan Ping remained trapped among the demons.

Chen Changsheng brought his companions into the Kunpeng, aided the Mermen Clan, and taught Chen Feng and Guan Ping while pursuing the DuSheng True Fire. The group returned to Supreme Clarity Temple, where Chen Feng began learning pill refining and encountered a mysterious crying woman.

• Chen Changsheng helped Chen Feng, Guan Ping, Bai Bingyang, and Cui Ling Shuang escape the Treasure Vomiting Rat, then demonstrated Inch Power and began teaching Chen Feng to split pine nuts without harming their kernels.
• Chen Changsheng arranged to help Guan Ping only if she became his disciple, but later refused to replace Bai Bingyang and invited Guan Ping to learn his secret alchemy methods instead.
• Chen Changsheng led the group into the Kunpeng, where he freed Cui Ling Shuang, introduced them to the mermen, and gave Shui Yue Gold Needles that she used to secure food for her parents and later ask to join him.
• Chen Changsheng helped Guan Ping and Chen Feng use formations and alchemy to break the seal on the Kunpeng’s heart, then drove off the deep-sea overlords threatening the young Kunpeng.
• Chen Changsheng fulfilled Shui Yue’s second wish by helping the Mermen Clan and accepted her final wish to follow him into the outside world, while a mysterious figure freed the Kunpeng and left Chen Changsheng a token of Human Sentiment.
• Chen Feng mastered Chen Changsheng’s sword technique and learned that competing for the DuSheng True Fire could endanger Li Alchemist, then agreed to study pill refining in the temple’s kitchen.
• Chen Feng discovered a fragment of a Ferocious Weapon in the kitchen firewood, while Chen Changsheng told Qian Ya that the DuSheng True Fire had likely been used to suppress the Uncanny.
• Chen Changsheng discussed how he and Scholar had become obstacles in the new era, while Chen Feng entered the west wing alone and heard a woman crying.
