When she mentioned that they had 100,000 points to spend, the whole class cheered.

Yi Chen thought for a moment:

"Right, there's the points thing too? Do I have a phone?"

Yi Chen felt around in his pocket and discovered that he really did have a phone.

He held it up and examined it from every angle.

There was even the Advanced Nurturing school crest on the back.

Then Yi Chen looked at the cheering students with disdain.

The card appeared again.

After using the card, Yi Chen inexplicably saw a man wearing a hair clip in his mind. Then he mastered Whirlwind Triple Kick.

Kushida:

"Yi Chen, want to go to the café for a cup of coffee? I think you're really interesting."

Looking at the generously endowed Kushida in front of him, Yi Chen thought:

Oh man, isn't she the one who set Ayanokoji up? Could my Whirlwind Triple Kick take her on?

Wait, physical strength probably won't work against a schemer. If I agree, she might stab me in the back. If I refuse, she'll get upset and do it anyway.

Yi Chen thought it over, shook his head, sighed, and forced a gentle smile.

"Sure, Kushida. Thanks."

The two headed to the café together. Along the way, Kushida asked as if it had just occurred to her:

"Yi Chen, were you acting that way on purpose during your introduction today?"

Yi Chen looked a little embarrassed.

"Yes, I did it on purpose. How could you tell?"

Kushida smiled gently.

"Because you apologized to the person in front of you. People who act like that usually don't apologize."

"Thank you."

Once they were in the café and seated, Kushida smiled as she ordered two coffees.

Yi Chen discreetly looked around, thinking about how to handle things. When the coffee arrived, Kushida took a small sip, then suddenly changed the subject.

Yi Chen was taken aback, then replied:

"I haven't really thought about it."

Just then, Ayanokoji Kiyotaka and Horikita Suzune walked into the café. They frowned slightly when they saw Yi Chen with Kushida.

Kushida noticed Horikita Suzune's gaze, and a strange look flashed across her eyes.

Yi Chen caught the change in her expression and was secretly delighted. He quickly waved Ayanokoji over.

When Ayanokoji came closer, Yi Chen smiled and said:

"Hey, you're Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, right? Come sit with us."

Kushida looked at Horikita Suzune, her expression stiffening slightly, but she still forced a smile and welcomed her.

Yi Chen breathed a sigh of relief, thinking to himself:

There are more people here now. At least that should spread Kushida's attention around a bit.

They chatted some more, and soon Kushida exchanged contact information with Horikita Suzune as well.

After finishing their coffee, they all went back to their own dorms. On the way, Yi Chen bought some everyday essentials.

He'd originally planned to buy a handheld game console too, but the ones with good specs were too expensive, so he bought a set of manga to read instead.

Passing an alley,

Yi Chen looked around to make sure no one was there, then walked inside.

Angel:

"Now, Angela Yi Chen. Use Whirlwind Triple Kick."

Yi Chen gave it a try and really did pull off the triple kick. It only left him a little sweaty, so it seemed Yi Chen's body in this world was in decent shape.

Meanwhile, at a window high above the alley,

Ryuen watched Yi Chen's triple kick.

"That guy—is he from Class D? Interesting."

Yi Chen happily carried his manga back to his dorm. Just as he sat down to read, the random guy and the redhead arrived with their friend and came over to find him.

They were Ken Sudō, Yamauchi Haruki, and Yukimura Teruhiko.

Yi Chen looked a little nervous.

"Are they here to bully me? Perfect. I can try out my moves on them."

Hearing that, Ken Sudō teased him.

"We're here to make friends with you. We think you're pretty interesting."

Then Ken Sudō handed Yi Chen a can of beer.

"Yi Chen? Is it okay if I call you that? I'm Ken Sudō. Nice to meet you."

"Hi, I'm Yamauchi Haruki. Hi, I'm Yukimura Teruhiko."

Two voices followed.

Soon, the group got along. Yi Chen learned that they thought he was one of them because of his introduction and because he'd also managed to annoy the teacher.

They wanted to be friends with him.

Yi Chen laughed helplessly and didn't think much of it.

That night, they chatted about all sorts of interesting things, including the pretty girls in their class.

Late at night, they each returned to their dorms to rest.

The next morning, Yi Chen woke up early. After a quick wash, he headed to the classroom. Not everyone had arrived yet, so he took a seat by the window.

Before long, Kushida Kikyo came in. When she saw Yi Chen, she gave him a sweet smile and greeted him.

Yi Chen returned the greeting politely.

The bell rang, and the homeroom teacher came in and began the lesson.

Yi Chen listened while discreetly looking around at his classmates.

After class, Ken Sudō ran over and dragged Yi Chen to the sports field to play ball.

There, they ran into some students from Class C.

A few boys from Class C looked down their noses at them, provoking them and mocking Class D.

Ken Sudō was so angry he was about to throw a punch, but Yi Chen stopped him. With a faint smile, he said:

"Looks like fighting at this school gets you expelled. We'd better not do that."

Angel:

"Mission issued":

"Challenge the Class C provocateurs to a one-on-one basketball game."

Victory: 1 Silver Card

Defeat: 1 Bronze Card

At the sound of the mission,

Yi Chen immediately struck a righteous JoJo pose.

"You bunch of jerks! You're only Class C. We'll surpass you soon enough."

Class C thug:

"Hahaha! You think you can surpass us? Stop dreaming in broad daylight."

Yi Chen looked at Ken Sudō, then at the Class C students.

Yi Chen:

"Got the guts to play a game of basketball? I'll rap you all into the ground."

Soon, they started playing basketball. Yi Chen had always loved sports anime, and he'd watched plenty of basketball anime in particular.

So Yi Chen always put on his overalls late at night, when all was quiet.

And so Yi Chen and Ken Sudō's group of three took on Class C in a 4v4.

After a whole song-and-dance rap session, Yi Chen won a Silver Card.

Description:

For 20 seconds after use, increases speed by 200%. Afterward, leaves the user weakened for 30 minutes.

Yi Chen looked thrilled. "This is awesome. It'll really come in handy at a crucial moment."

Time passed, and thanks to the charm of Ken Sudō and the others, as well as Yi Chen himself, they got along pretty well with a lot of people in their class.

They realized Yi Chen wasn't actually that hard to get along with. In fact, they thought he was both handsome and funny.
