Background / History

Ryuen is present at Advanced Nurturing High School's opening assembly as a Class C student. Soon afterward, he notices Yi Chen practicing the Whirlwind Triple Kick from a window and takes an immediate interest in the previously unknown Class D student. 1 2

He establishes control over Class C through fear, directing Albert, Yamazaki, Ibuki Mio, and other students to carry out confrontations on his behalf. His first major clash with Yi Chen begins when Class C students challenge Yi Chen at an abandoned construction site; Ryuen later seeks to personally test Yi Chen's strength. 10 13

After Yi Chen defeats Albert, Yamazaki, and Ibuki on the rooftop, Ryuen is forced to transfer 300,000 private points when Yi Chen threatens to manipulate footage of the incident. Ryuen retaliates against his own subordinates for the loss and vows to humiliate Yi Chen in return. 14 15
