VIP Exam (8) Helping Karuizawa (Part 2)

Zhenguo Zhibao was both embarrassed and annoyed upon hearing this, attempting to shake off the hand Yi Chen had placed on her shoulder.

With a flushed face, she retorted:

"Hmph, so you're in cahoots with that ugly woman. What 'bullying' are you even talking about?"

"It was she who didn't watch where she was going and bumped into Rika from our class. We were just looking for her to make her apologize; how does that count as bullying?"

Yamashita Saki and Yabu Nanami nodded in agreement from the side, and Yabu Nanami stepped forward, muttering:

"Exactly. She clearly bumped into Rika, and when we asked her to apologize, she just pretended not to know anything."

Tangben Yishan watched the two groups with a nervous expression.

Yi Chen applied a slight amount of pressure with his hand.

Zhenguo cried out in pain:

"Ah! Sss—"

Yi Chen released Zhenguo.

Zhenguo shouted angrily:

"You actually dare to lay a hand on me? Just you wait, I'm going to report you to the school administration."

Yi Chen said indifferently:

"It was just a little pressure; it won't leave any evidence behind. Reporting me to the school won't do you any good."

Yamashita and Yabu looked at Zhenguo nervously.

Yi Chen's gaze grew increasingly cold as he stared into Zhenguo's eyes:

"Are you sure you were just asking her to apologize?"

Zhenguo glared at Yi Chen viciously:

"None of your business. We were just making her apologize."

"Angela. Yi Chen, you really are as disgusting as Ryuen said."

"It was clearly Karuizawa who bumped into our classmate Rika first, yet you're helping her just because she's in your class."

Yi Chen looked at Zhenguo coldly:

"Insulting her, taking humiliating photos."

"Are you any better?"

Tangben Yishan scratched his head awkwardly from the side, trying to mediate:

"Oh, come on, Yi Chen, calm down first. Zhenguo, you calm down too."

Zhenguo shot a murderous look at Tangben Yishan.

Tangben Yishan felt both nervous and embarrassed:

"Look, there might actually be some misunderstanding here. Maybe both sides were just in a bad mood at the time, which is why things escalated."

"Let's all just calm down and talk this through clearly. There's no need to ruin the harmony between classmates."

Zhenguo Zhibao, however, was not having any of it and yelled at Tangben Yishan:

"Tangben Yishan, you're really something. You didn't even ask why you were calling me here before dragging me over."

"And the moment I arrive, I'm met with these unreasonable, disgusting people from Class D."

"Today's incident is entirely Karuizawa's fault, yet he has the nerve to come here and interrogate us. Where is the logic in that?"

"Did that ugly woman call you here to help her?"

Yamashita Saki chimed in as well:

"Exactly. We were the victims from the start. We only wanted Karuizawa to apologize, but she refused to cooperate, so we did what we had to do to make her cooperate..."

Yabu Nanami nodded timidly from the side, echoing:

"That's right, we really didn't do anything excessive."

"We were just trying to scare her a little..."

Yi Chen let out a cold laugh, looking at them with disdain as he said:

"Make her cooperate? Scare her a little."

"If you had simply asked for an apology, I would have let it go after clearing things up today."

"But since you treated Karuizawa this way, I will naturally use the same methods to make you experience it for yourselves."

Zhenguo Zhibao was trembling with rage at Yi Chen's words, pointing at him:

"You dare threaten us? We aren't afraid of you. I'd like to see what you can actually do to us."

"I don't believe you can do anything to us here at school!"

Yi Chen took a step forward, his eyes filled with an oppressive aura as he said slowly:

"Whatever Ryuen from your class can do at this school, I can do as well."

Zhenguo Zhibao looked at Yi Chen in shock.

Tangben Yishan saw the situation and grew even more anxious, hurriedly pulling Yi Chen aside:

"Brother Yi Chen, don't be angry. If anger gets to your heart, it won't be good."

"I just listened to what happened, and it really is Zhenguo and the others who are in the wrong."

"I will apologize to you on their behalf, and I'll make them apologize too, is that alright?"

"Let's not ruin the harmony."

Yi Chen looked at Tangben Yishan with an expressionless face.

Tangben Yishan turned around, intending to call for Zhenguo and the others to apologize.

However, Zhenguo and the others didn't care at all. Zhenguo Zhibao tossed her head and said:

"Let's go, let's leave. I can't be bothered to waste any more breath on him. We'll see about this."

With that, she took Yamashita Saki and Yabu Nanami and turned to leave.

Tangben Yishan watched the backs of Zhenguo and the others as they walked away, sighed helplessly, scratched his head, and said to Yi Chen:

"Brother Yi Chen, don't worry. I have a rough idea of what happened, and I will find a way to handle it."

"Please trust me."

Yi Chen remained expressionless, though a hint of coldness seeped into his eyes as he said indifferently:

"Suit yourself. I'll be keeping an eye on them."

Afterward, Yi Chen also left, using the excuse of going back to rest.

Over on Zhenguo's side.

Yamashita Saki said unhappily:

"Zhenguo, what should we do? That ugly woman Karuizawa has found herself a helper."

"I heard that Ryuen tried to give him trouble, but it didn't have any effect."

Zhenguo glared fiercely at Yamashita:

"What do you mean 'what should we do'? How could Ryuen possibly be unable to handle him? I heard last time that someone recorded evidence."

"Ryuen spent 300,000 points because of it. Ryuen has always been looking for a chance to mess with him; if it weren't for those few people in the class constantly resisting Ryuen..."

"Ryuen has been busy managing the class, otherwise, what could someone from Class D possibly do?"

Yabu Nanami asked:

"Then should we ask Ryuen to help us mess with him?"

Zhenguo said darkly:

"Given Ryuen's personality, it's impossible for him to help us."

Yamashita Saki said unhappily:

"Then what do we do? This is really frustrating."

Zhenguo turned to look at the two of them, revealing a sinister smile:

"It's simple. Give Ryuen a position where he has no choice but to help us."

Yamashita asked in confusion:

"What?"

Zhenguo smiled disdainfully:

"I've been following Ryuen and happened to learn that he has some kind of cooperation with Kushida from Class D."

"Yi Chen is helping Karuizawa, so we'll just give Karuizawa a beating."

"We'll force Yi Chen to make us his enemies, and since we belong to Class C..."

"No matter how much Ryuen dislikes us, he will deal with Yi Chen for the sake of the class."

Yabu Nanami laughed evilly:

"You're really something, Zhenguo. You're so wicked."

Yamashita Saki laughed gloomily:

"Zhenguo is doing this to help Rika in our class. She really is a good person."

Zhenguo:

"Then I'll go contact Kushida first and see if she'll help us."

"We'll lure Karuizawa to a secluded place, and we can just vent our anger."

Yamashita:

"Great, hee hee. Let Karuizawa keep acting all high and mighty; I can't stand women like that."

Afterward, Zhenguo contacted Kushida.

"Kushida, could you come to the 9th floor? I have something to discuss with you."

"Sure, no problem. I'll be there in a moment."

On the 9th floor, Zhen Guo and her two companions waited for Kushida in the dimly lit corridor.

Before long, Kushida arrived at a leisurely pace.

Zhen Guo and the others looked at Kushida with smiles:

"Kushida, the three of us were hoping to meet Karuizawa from your class."

"Could you help us out with that?"

Kushida asked, puzzled:

"What's wrong? Zhen Guo, what do you want with Karuizawa?"

Zhen Guo replied:

"Nothing much, just a simple chat."

"She bumped into Rika from our class last time, and we want to bring Rika along to clear up any misunderstandings."

Kushida thought for a moment:

"Sure, I can do that. I'll message her right now and tell her you want to see her."

Zhen Guo hurriedly interjected:

"No, don't mention us. Just say some students want to see her."

"Or better yet, invite her out in your name."

Kushida asked, confused:

"Why?"

Zhen Guo said:

"Because we aren't very close, so she might not come if she knows it's us."

Kushida replied:

"Then why don't you just go talk to her in person?"

Hearing this, Zhen Guo dropped the act:

"Kushida, stop playing dumb. I know about your relationship with Ryuen."

Kushida maintained a forced, calm smile:

"What are you talking about, Zhen Guo?"

Zhen Guo said with disdain:

"We want to teach Karuizawa a lesson, and then we'll make Angela Yi Chen suffer a bit too."

Kushida kept her smile:

"So that's how it is. You want to make friends with Karuizawa, right? That's perfectly fine."

Zhen Guo looked at Kushida with a knowing expression:

"So, Kushida is one of us after all."

Kushida smiled:

"Just email me where you want to meet, and I'll notify Karuizawa."

With that, Kushida turned and walked away.

Zhen Guo and her two companions watched Kushida's retreating figure, smiling with the satisfaction of having succeeded.
